Professor Arthur Caplan, former director of Bioethics Center at the University of Pennsylvania, said that it is “a shame of mankind” that “killing on demand” to harvest organs has happened frequently in China and lasted for over a decade.

I've wondered if that isn't what happens to all the missing people in the US and UK.

By the numbers: Missing persons in the USA

On average, 90,000 people are missing in the USA at any given time, according to Todd Matthews from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, or NamUs, a national database for missing people.



There are an estimated 360,000 reports of people going missing in the UK each year amounting to approximately 200,000 missing people. Children and young people make up approximately two thirds of the missing reports and although the vast majority of people who go missing return, or are found quickly, many vulnerable children and adults suffer harm and exploitation whilst missing and some never return. 


I know most of them are found but quite a few of them never are...  :1XqXnoz:
