Happy Birthday Army!!!! 243 years old!!!

The United States Armed Forces are not 243 years old.
Not even close.
I can affirm this but won't bother, unless someone asks for proof.

Yes, please, I am asking for proof.  Thank you.  And it is not the Armed forces that are 243 years old, it is the ARMY.

Ok. Please first tell me how they claim the 243 years, to the date they specify.

LOL!!!! Why are you asking me questions? You said you were going to explain!!!!   I know why the Army is 243 years old.  Now lets hear your explanation to why it isn't.

Damn TB you must be doing some serious googling!!!!!!! LMFAO!!!! I'll be waiting....

I asked why they claim 243 years because I need to know their rationale that defines the
so-called army of the United States of America. Their date is older than the country itself.
I did a Master's paper on the history of the army. The books are down in my cellar in a hutch
so please give me a little more time here. I do not use Google.

I will save you time.  The Army was enacted on 14 Jun 1775 and then commanded by General Washington a month later.  Therefore it is one year older than the United States of America which declared it's independence on 04 July 1776.  If you want to get technical the Army National guard dates back to 1636 when all able bodied men where required to have in their possession a firearm and defend their colony.
