Western Military Debacle in Eastern Ghouta

Recommended Posts

This is a typically intelligent Russian giving background on the Syrian missile strike and dropping some significant hints about what happens to your missiles when you let China make your chips.

But that's not the important bit.

Which is: background to Russian thinking: e.g. in how it deals to enemy combatants vs how the US does it, which might explain the differing results in places like Chechnya vs [you name it].

It's boring if you're not interested in understanding the opposition. But that's the key to victory and it's what Tsn Tzu is based on:

You won’t be hearing any of this in the western news media because the U.S./UK definitely want to keep the lid on this report. Compiled by Chinese intelligence analysts and explained below by Evgeniy Satanovskiy, one of Russia’s leading Middle East experts, it throws a new light on the situation in Syria and, indirectly, the Skripals poisoning too.

According to the Chinese analysts hundreds of U.S. Special Forces and advisors were killed or wounded in East Ghouta during the recent Syrian Arab Army assault. On March 17 alone Chinese analysts estimate that as many as 200 U.S. Special Forces personnel were “eliminated”.

The U.S. Special Forces and advisors had been working with the militants in an effort to oust President Assad and counter growing Iranian influence in the region. The loss of so many of their U.S. “advisors” is thought to have adversely affected the militant’s morale.

In addition 200 British Special Air Service members and military advisors were trapped in the militant’s enclave as the Syrian Arab Army, supported by Russian Special Forces and air power, closed in...

...To distract attention from this military debacle the British launched an assassination attempt against the Skripals in Salisbury...

IMO they've always played this game: e.g. you think they didn't do things like this during Vietnam?

Something happened when Trump got elected however to make the propaganda wheels fall off and bit by bit by bit what they've always done is finding ways to seep out round the edges.

Who knows :)

The U.S. special forces were trapped because the Syrian Army advanced much faster in East Ghouta than the U.S. military expected. But East Ghouta was of strategic importance:

Quote

<snip>

Sources in Damascus explain that the Syrian Army and its allies, supported by Russia, were carrying out a large attack on rural Idlib and had reached Abu al-Duhur airport when, all of a sudden, the military operation stopped. The entire spearhead force was moved to Ghouta. What happened?

Russia had informed the Syrian leadership of a large gathering of forces at Al-Tanf US-occupied military base on the Syrian-Iraqi borders, where tens of thousands of US proxies have received continuous military training. The Russians identified unusual military movements and understood that the US was preparing to push Syrian proxy forces to reach eastern Ghouta, linking itself with around 30,000 jihadists in Ghouta itself. This attack was planned to take place simultaneously with a diversion from Daraa, southern Syria, attacking south of Damascus so as to deceive the Syrian army and its allies into leaving smaller forces around the capital.

The US plan – said the sources – consisted in supporting its proxies and the Ghouta jihadists to reach Damascus and take full control of it. But the shifting of the military operation from rural Idlib to Ghouta spoiled the US plan to impose on Russia an enforced stay in Lattakia and Tartous confined to a limited place, and to finally change the Syrian regime. This “genius’s plan” would have spoiled all Russia’s efforts deployed through almost three years of heavy involvement in the war in Syria, and would have given the US the upper hand , just at the moment when Moscow and the Syrian Army were about to end the war, with only few more pockets left to liberate.

Russia’s hit in Ghouta broke the US plan into pieces, and imposed the withdrawal of tens of thousands of militants from Ghouta along with their families, to the north of Syria. The capital is now much safer, with the remaining area south of Damascus occupied by Al-Qaeda and the “Islamic State” group (ISIS) in Yarmouk camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad.

#NOTAM & navigation warnings in force around #Cyprus for Wed 18th April 'RUSSIAN NAVY EXERCISE' off the #Syria coast - Surface to 66,000ft.

This is not an 'EXERCISE' ..it's the build-up to a full-blown response to our 'first-strike' attack in Syria.. Trump doesn't get it, regardless of how 'limited' the strike was, or how little damage he caused.. you don't get to attack a sovereign nation based on unsubstantiated reports, backed by a 'child-like' UNSC temper-tantrum.

You certainly don't get to declare 'Mission Accomplished' to a blatant act of war via a 140-character tweet.. I think it's way too late for us to wake up, the world has already decided what 'we' refuse to see.

I honestly believe that there is no turning back now, we need to prepare ourselves for what's about to happen..

Yes.. Russia is undoubtedly planning cyber-attacks, they've already figured out how to take down our power grid, they already know how to quickly destroy our ports, railroads, infrastructure, communications  & other hard strategic targets all over North America.. I'll guarantee, they are looking at sinking a good number of military assets floating right there off the coast of Cyprus.

This has gone way too far.. Trump is not 'the man' to take on Russia & I think we're about to find that out in the next 72.hrs.

Strange daze indeed..

Very possible. I was wondering why the Brits got their panties in a knot so quickly and without compromise over the "poisoning" of a former Russian spy and his daughter. I manage to find little tidbits about the real state of the American situation in Syria every now and them. Of course, it cannot be confirmed and is put into the 'speculation' section.
This 20 minute video presents a 90-120 degree departure from what the public in the USA has been schooled about Syria. Therefore, someone is living on fantasy island.  My opinion: the Arab summer appears to have been a failed CIA cookout.
