Laughable at this moment. I don't know how many of y'all use or contribute to GAB but it's supposed to be the Platform Of Free Speech. Right?

I see so much hatred and racial BS there to the point of it be somewhat sickening. Yet those people/posts still exist. However, saying Fuk Trump and all other politicians right in the neck is not okay; I guess. When I logged on this morning all of my (not very many) posts had been deleted. I simply find this absurd after seeing some of the stuff I've seen on that platform before.

Here... I think one time  @Cinnamon  let me know I couldn't post song lyrics. Then I asked her if it was okay to post a link to song lyrics, and she informed me that wasn't a problem. None of my posts here (that I am aware of) have ever been deleted. Maybe corrected or moved at the very worst. That certainly doesn't fall into my "bad" category at all.

That's an interesting twist to things...

Although I believe (or at least I thought) it was all about the gift of speech... IE: The Gift Of Gab... you know?

I'm sorry to hear this.  I've posted a few things on Gab but haven't got into the swing of things.  I still do mainly Twitter because....everyone's on Twitter, despite the fact that they obviously have limited me to only a couple of dozen followers. The number is very specific, LOL.  I had hopes for Gab - I always wondered where the AI came from.

WTF  I have never had a GAB account . So I thought that I would check it out being that it's not FaceBook or Twitter .

So I tried to set up a account and it's telling me that the user name has already been taken . I tried both Cassper's Soapbox and CSB . It even told me that my email was already in use . WTF

I even tried using some off the wall name and a alternate email; same thing . this account has been taken .

I think the day is coming where I will stay in the lower web . It's more user friendly there .

One man's free speech is another's license to be an asshole.  I registered right in the beginning but have not posted much, to be fair I have not logged in for probably four months.  The GUI format did not tickle me much. I found a host of porn and smut peddling people follow me and a lot of time was spent getting rid of the scum.  I'm afraid their freedom of speech definition is not the same as mine and now I have even less motivation to go log in again.

Yes I go to gab quite frequently but it's not very often that I post.

For some of the reasons you stated in your quote, but at the end of the day I am weary and resistant and apprehensive of any new sites that show themselves over the coming years mainly because of the possibilities that are currently arising due to the censorship on other platforms and the knowledge that I have of how they like to corral us into pens where we believe we are safe.

And I have to say the way in which GAB rose to power was epic.

If there's one thing I know, it's that when something is that perfectly executed there is big money behind it.

Especially because they kept on ephasising that they were self-funded - but I believe they have raised an astronomical amount of money so far..

Astronomically well. And if they are truly free then good for them. But the odds of it?? Not sure. Luckily I can just sit back and watch a while. Time tells us all.

They are Austin based. Lots of investors here. We're like an affordable tech valley for talent and real estate. California money has literally changed the skyline, as well as the values and attitude of this town.
