Arpaio calls on 250K armed citizens to stop terrorism and mass shootings

Draw your weapons.

That's what Sheriff Joe Arpaio is urging nearly a quarter-million Arizona gun owners to do to fight terrorism and mass shooters.

On Tuesday, the so-called "Toughest Sheriff in America" said he cannot guarantee the public's safety and called on them to take matters into their own hands if necessary.

"I'm just talking about the areas where you have large crowds and someone pulls out the gun and starts shooting. Maybe somebody with a concealed weapon takes the guy down," Arpaio said.

Specifically, Arpaio was looking to the 250,000 Arizonans who carry concealed weapons permits to help keep the peace.

But there are some in law enforcement who are calling this a bad idea.

Steve Henry, chief deputy of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, said untrained gun owners could add to chaotic situations at big events, increasing the risk to innocent bystanders.

"Sometimes it's not proper to pull the trigger because the collateral damage is not worth it," Henry said. "We don't want to walk into a gun fight between anybody, much less a gun fight where people are untrained."

Arpaio's comments came in the wake of terrorist attacks in Paris, Beirut and Mali.

As such, the percentage of Americans who think a terrorist strike is somewhat or very likely to occur in the homeland in the next few months has skyrocketed.

So, if the untrained gun owners don't use their weapons, a lot of people die anyway. That chief deputy is the one needing training.

Uh oh Joe you shouldn't be telling people to stand up for themselves. The PC police may attack you.

Anyway we need more real minded people to say this statement. Gather arms and protect yourselves. Get proper training on use and proper self defense training. A true self defense program would be something easily learned with few moves for multiple types of attacks not a bunch of moves for one type of attack. Personally I love and train and a trainer with the SDTS (the self defense training system) WWII combatives at its best. But also don't forget be aware of your surroundings.

Patriotic French Mayor Creates Security Militia

The famous patriotic mayor of the southwestern town of Beziers in France has announced the formation of a volunteer force to patrol the streets and help boost security while France remains in a national state of emergency.

Robert Menard, who the controlled media accused of turning Beziers into a “laboratory of the far-right,” said that former soldiers and police officers were joining his “Beziers Guard.”

“France is living through difficult times and it is in that context that I asked myself how we could reinforce security and help the local and national police,” Mayor Menard said.

Earlier this year, Mayor Menard also re-equipped the town’s police force with new 7.65-calibre handguns—after which he put up posters across the town reading “Police officers have a new friend.”

The poster appealing for volunteers to patrol the streets during the state of emergency, introduced after the ISIS attacks on Paris last month, features the town’s cathedral of Saint-Nazaire.
