Mark Zuckerberg Called People Who Handed Over Their Data "Dumb F****"

Recommended Posts

Zuck: People just submitted it.

Zuck: I don't know why.

Zuck: They "trust me"

Zuck: Dumb fu*ks.

(Do you remember Zuckerberg saying this? I do!)

"What a week its been for Facebook, the social media giant has plummeted $37bn in value after news broke of a so-called data grab on more than 50 million profiles by Cambridge Analytica, a political research company with links to Trump. Then there's Alex Stamos, Facebook's Chief Security Officer who seems to be refusing to step down. And we're only on Tuesday."

From the article:

He might as well have predicted Facebook’s downfall

He DID! On Feb.22 he sold off a ton of his stock.

He might have just been bragging to his friend, he wasn’t to know the data treasure trove Facebook would become 14 years later with 2.2 billion users.

The real question is... Will it die, and if so, what will take it's place?

Shep and I were just talking about that on the phone... something will definitely take it's place and everyone will be herded there. On a more positive note, maybe there will be millions who are seeing all this and will move to less intrusive platforms, because people are always going to want to connect, of course. Break up the monopolies.

I spoke with a friend who knows a lot about the market. He says he thinks the SEC will investigate the sale as an insider trading violation.

Did he not steal the entire platform from Myspace? Because that's where I started.

As far as theft goes, he took the concept for FB from his two Harvard roommates, who sued him recently and were paid enormous amounts of money in a settlement. I think an NDA is in place, so no details. But, Zuck paid big bucks. The whole thing was public before the settlement.

Yep. Just the same way Yahoo stole Geo Cities (remember them?)

Some of us have long memories.
