The Apprentice. Presidential edition.

You're all fired.

Cracking me up how tv programming was right again, I know in this case it's going to be. But it's the same with it all.

Trump prefers to sword dance with Saudis while Tillerson condemns them for unlawful bombing in yemen. You see the difference? Which part of an orange buffoon like Trump you are so excited about - did he chase you wearing white undies? Tillerson should run for president in 2020 assuming trolls like you are not radiactively evaporated by then.

While Rex was never thrilled about taking the position to begin with, I strongly suspect the tariffs were the final push for him to quit. This will obviously create a lot of additional problems for the "Secretary of State" as well as virtually no one in DC supports it, despite a 800 billion dollar annual trade deficit. Gary Cohn quit last week, and there is a mounting opposition among republicans as well as democrats.

Trump must be careful, not because of a trade war, but because many countries like China are holding trillions of US debt and own trillions of US assets. If they dump those assets and bonds, that will crash if not collapse the US economy. There are 2 valid sides of the argument.

Wow what a brave move.

Move one corrupt scum out, put another right in.

The CIA hasn't been working for America since it's creation.  We don't need more CIA in any departments until the CIA is cleaned out, and the FBI, and the DOJ, and so on and so on.

This is a meaningless action.

If he would have brought someone from "Outside" the system in, I might feel different, but seeing as how Trump fights the swamp with putting swamp monsters in all the posts... it seems...  Unlikely.

You'd think with all the "Business" experience and ties Trump has, he might know SOMEONE NOT in the government who can do things.  You'd think, huh?

Best post! Hire someone outside the bubble!

Maybe Rex Tillerson is sick he had to cut the trip short and missed a meeting in Africa? Maybe he is actually really sick??

However if he was actually fired I am strangely okay with that. If the guy is not a good fit move on. How often in this world do people delay doing what needs to be done and it just prolongs what needs to happen.

Mike Pompeo, in his first speech as director of the CIA, chose to declare war on free speech rather than on the United States’ actual adversaries. He went after WikiLeaks.

Pompeo’s next talking point, unsupported by fact, that WikiLeaks is a “non-state hostile intelligence service,” is a dagger aimed at Americans’ constitutional right to receive honest information about their government. This accusation mirrors attempts throughout history by bureaucrats seeking, and failing, to criminalize speech that reveals their own failings.

Whata guy !

I think Trump could care less what analyst say he is putting his trust into his life experience and moving forward.  More power to him IMO he is a breath of fresh air in that respect.

The hand wringing gets old.

On Twitter, Donald Trump Announces Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State; Rex Tillerson Out

clip-

Tillerson famously clashed with Trump on several diplomatic issues, even reportedly describing the president as a “fu**ing moron.”

Holy cow I totally missed that!:D

clip-

Trump wanted a fresh approach to his administration’s diplomatic efforts, and wanted to have his team in place in time for negotiations with North Korea.

If Trump is with the Vatican…

The only way Trump is with the Vatican is if Bibi Netanyahu is Pope, not Pope Francis.

Just last week at the White House, Netanyahu said all "our problems" can be summed
up in one word: IRAN. See 5:40

Result: Tillerson fired, he wanted to keep the Iran Deal.
Trump openly admits this as a prime reason for his firing:

Mike Pompeo, CIA director and Iran Hawk, becomes Secretary of State:

Torture Queen and Jewess, Gina Haspel, chosen to head CIA.
She is unmarried with a Jewish surname.

nope, you'll never see another old school GOP win the presidency ever again... let alone the Socialist Dems either...

Trump for the next 8 years, after that I'm afraid most of the world will suffer God's wrath a 'la Sodom and Gomorrah...

... I get that you hate Trump and there are not many places you can go besides antifa ...  but, I am so enjoying this after 8 years of hell...

so, don't spoil it for me.
