Montana has net neutrality...

Recommended Posts

Most of the states fighting the FCC's net neutrality repeal are counting on lawsuits or legislative measures that could take years to process, but Montana Governor Steve Bullock isn't willing to wait. He just signed an executive order requiring that all internet providers with a Montana government contract from July 1st onward honor the principles of net neutrality for any customer in the state. Given that most major providers (including AT&T, Charter and Verizon) have government contracts, this forces telecoms to treat all traffic fairly regardless of what the FCC wants.

Bullock also suggested that other states backing net neutrality could do the same. "This is a simple step," he said in a statement, adding that "we can't wait for folks in Washington DC to come to their senses and reinstate these [neutrality] rules."

Montana...

If it weren't so cold and rural, I'd move.

I heard they're going the way of the left, unfortunately. Lots of news on that awhile back.

Naw, we're still basic hard core conservatives here.  We like our beer, whiskey, animals and shooting irons and especially our freedom.  Stay out of the big cities here, especially Missoula (Berkeley East) which has been infiltrated by progressives over the last 30 years, and by and large people tend to mind their own business and stay out of yours.  Bullock is a quivering lipped d-bag lawyer who is obviously looking ahead to another term, if he can keep his dick in his pants and out of the newspapers.  For some reason we always pack the legislature with republicans and elect a commie governor.  We even give the feds the finger with our drivers licenses.  If you see someone being hassled by TSA because of their ID its bound to be one of us.  Hell, we just had the great one, Cliven Bundy give a talk up the road in Sanders County about state sovereignty.  We're a little naive when it comes to letting commies in but I think we'll figger out a way to give 'em the boot.  Look for us to kick Tester to the curb and send another republican senator (Rosendale) to Washington this fall.

If they ever officially pass that federal firearms nullification, I am moving.
