Crazed mobs of people belonging to a militant socialist political party called the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spent Saturday morning vandalizing H&M stores at malls across South Africa over a monkey sweatshirt advertisement that the internet deemed to be “racist.”

The EFF is currently the third-largest party in both houses of the South African parliament.

Here's a video of some of the destruction as it occurred!

And a video on why they are all outraged over that made them do this.... it may have a slant.

I'm surprised someone doesn't make a shirt that Say's I'm the saltiest of White Cracka's...  And put a Cartoon Saltine on the front holding a Whip...

And then again maybe I shouldn't give (THEM) anymore ideas on how to create more division in the world...   (THEY) are doing a good enough job as is...

I'd also wear that. Just because racism is funny. In the sense that people actually get offended by comments that seem racial in nature. I get called things all the time. I call people black sometimes, It means dirty here. It's not racial. It applies to everyone :) But then you have everyone else who get's it all twisted making something out of nothing every time.

Racism is used as a propaganda tool most of the time as opposed to being an actual real issue, but I have to say it's elementary immediately to spot the potential problem when you look at that photo, and I'm white.

WTF *were* those marketing idiots/photographer et al, thinking?

Well, the trashing of a store didn't do anything for the image, did it?  Maybe I should buy that lil shit one of those hoodies and send it to him.

From a business point of view, All i see with this shirt is a phrase selected out of many phrases that had a high yield of user activity surrounding it, Placed on a tshirt. Nearly the entire process is automated. The amount of times it's been searched for in an engine, the amount of social activity the phrase gets, its meemability, it's potential ROI.  Even the picture of that kid was probably taken many years ago and turned into a template for new products. And now that people like me who see theirs such an uproar with such an insignificant mistake, That means theirs just as many people who want to buy it as who hate it, So will start selling it as a popup business who has no reason or f**ks given to give into customer pressure. (Not me personally, i don't do customizables anymore)

Never in my life have I associated the phrase "porch monkey" with black people.

I grew up in a mostly white town and kids in general were sometimes call porch monkeys.

Next they will cultural appropriate the phrase "rug rat" as being somehow racist against black people.

Maybe it will be black Muslims who will say I'm being a racist islamaphobe when I say "Rug Rat", because, somehow, what I was really referring to is black Muslims on prayer rugs.

I am so sick and tired of this cultural Marxist bullsh@t

Apparently this is not the first time there has been a "scandal" with this clothing manufacture, they made a scarf that looked like a Jewish prayer shawl and a shirt with the "star of david" with a scull, pissing off Jews, and, they have opened stores in Israel pissing off the BDS crowd.

I wouldn't be surprised if this latest incident was staged, even though the store looks a mess, what real damage was done besides some racks and manikins being pushed over.

He says intention doesnt matter, impact does.  WTF does that mean?  It means they are the ones making a big deal out of it and we all have to walk around on egg shells lest we offend someone.
