Sometimes I really just want deep philosophical discussions!

Recommended Posts

But I find I am always philosophically blowing my own mind without the need for others. Surely that is not good!

It is becoming ever more difficult to find someone to talk with.

Yes it is 100% I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to write another post up like the awakening post that I did but for something along this topic line because I need to discuss this in more detail than i can in this post. You got me hooked already. Ty.

The major problem I see is the smartphone.

They just can't seem to put them down.

Very difficult to talk with someone when the phone keeps going off.

It's probably just a phase. Something else is eventually sure to come along and take our attention away from our little smart bubbles.

I use a phone to communicate for work. All other forms of mobile discussion apart from this forum are removed from my life :)

We are taught to 'chit-chat' and fill up silence from an early age. I don't understand why, but silent thought in a discussion is looked at like a bad thing. It could be the introduction of the TV that makes people crave immediate responses. I know my father and I like to discuss things while working on a project. We discuss, think while working and during a break, will resume the discussion with much greater insight.
