Great News From McKinsey: Robots Will Take 800 Million Jobs Worldwide By 2030

Recommended Posts

Stories about robots taking over from humans have become prevalent. Recently we’ve written about a new Manhattan Shake Shack replacing human cashiers with robots, killer robots (a.k.a. lethal autonomous weapons systems), a Californian real estate company replacing commission-based human agents with robots, a cocaine workshop in Brazil with robots packing 150,000 baggies a day and the first robot to be awarded citizenship which hopes for “harmony with humans”. No chance.

In June, we discussed a McKinsey & Co. report which stated that US manufacturing could be poised for a recovery and not because of Trump’s policies. Indeed, McKinsey’s rationale was based on automation weakening the case for labour arbitrage. James Manyika, McKinsey Global Institute director, commented.

We're going to be so screwed soon. No one will be able to get a job... You know this right?? It's only a matter of time!

As people keep asking and never get an answer from those brilliant turds floating on top... WHO'S GONNA BUY THEIR CRAP when no one has a job?

pretty sure i've mentioned this before.

they obviously don't care about that. they're not idiots. they know the consumption driven "economy" is killing the planet. perpetual growth within a finite means. not the smartest of ideas.

and if we're honest they've already got everything they need. they now stand on the doorstep to immortality, and so we can reasonably assume that soon it'll be time for bye-bye to the "useless eaters". the same useless eaters who actually built all their infrastructure.

Indeed.

That is where UBI (universal basic income) comes into play.

Here's my post from Monday about Amazon CEO worth $100 billion

$100 billion is just not enough, which is why he's replacing under paid warehouse employees with robots and UPS workers with delivery drones.

I wonder who's going to buy the products when everybody is unemployed?

We need to declare "Open Season" on these Aholes.

Wait Cinnamon!  The robots do the work and we all are supported by government social services but don't have to report to some idiot manager.  The govt collects the taxes the robots pay out of their paychecks.  I mean, what does a robot need to buy?  In fact, they'll probably be bolted in place so they can't go shopping anyway.

That means we'll still have money to buy stuff - we'll just be happier!  See what I mean?
