Fast Chicken Vegetable Soup

Recommended Posts

2 potatoes

2 carrots

2 stalks celery

1 can chicken broth

1 can of chunky chicken breast in broth

If you want to use raw chicken and make your own broth, you can. This is just a fast and easy recipe if you're in a hurry all the time like me!

Peel veggies, chop them up and add some water, maybe about a cup. Add can of broth and chicken with broth out of the can. Don't drain the chicken. Just put everything into the pot.

Bring to a boil, then turn down on simmer for 20 or 30 minutes.

Canned stuff is not good for you, yeah I know, but sometimes I just don't have time. It's still better than eating fast food.

I don't need to add any salt because the broth is already salty enough.

Chickens and turkeys should be considered national birds and protected . Enough have died for humanity ... Besides McDonald's now has imitation chicken nuggets ...

I think this chicken is marching for freedom .

I hope in my next life I don't return as human food

Just had double garlic chicken noodle soup

so delicious!!

I can eat a lot of garlic!  Try this if you love garlic, it's a dip, you can put it on baked potatoes, smear it on sammiches and whatever else you can think of. I hate cottage cheese but you can't even tell this is cottage cheese.

12 oz cottage cheese

2 or 3 cloves fresh garlic

1/4 cup ranch dressing

Blend until completely smooth. The longer it is in the fridge the more garlicky it tastes.

I haven't had this in ages, but I might make some. It's not as fattening as dips that have sour cream as a base.

It's addicting but also cheaper than buying those little 5 dollar containers of dip.

I got the cottage cheese today to make the dip. :)  Along with cauliflower, broccoli and carrots to dip in it.

Last night I took a can of organic chicken noodle soup and added about 1/2 a cup of organic frozen peas, 1/2 a cup of organic frozen green beans and about a cup of organic frozen broccoli.  Heat on medium heat for about 10 minutes.

It made for a really quick dinner and I had some left overs too.
