This is so wrong. Who's to say this doesn't go into other forms of Meds?!?

A few years ago it was proposed and partially rolled out that they would microchip patients (they wanted to start with people in nursing homes<< pick on the weakest, right) and when they were taken to a hospital, they had computers that (password protected of course!) could tell them all the meds, medical history of those people. They were so sure of themselves that this would become mainstream that they actually installed this tech into hospitals. The problem was that no one was buying it and now I wonder what happened to all those devices. I was poking around and found this company. They won't give up until they have some tracking method. This was a big thing on CT sites for awhile, but it died down and eventually disappeared as a discussion point.

There was actually a bill that passed for installing RFID trackers in people with Alzheimer's and kids with learning problems. "For the children" has become a super easy way to push BS legislation that tramples the rights we still pretend we have.

FDA approves 'trackable' pill

US regulators have approved the first pill that can be digitally tracked through the body.

The Abilify MyCite aripiprazole tablets - for treating schizophrenia and manic episodes - have an ingestible sensor embedded inside them that records that the medication has been taken.

A patch worn by the patient transmits this information to their smartphone.
