Cop who arrested Utah nurse fired.

I think it would have been much fairer to fire the people who authorised and wrote the numerous training programs which collectively gave the officer the pattern of thinking which he displayed in that incident.

That incident didn't stem from rogue personality. It didn't stem from violation of procedure either. Per the fact the surrounding fellow officers never said immediately WTF, hold on, cease and desist.

That doesn't come from nowhere. It's a cultural thing.

So don't blame someone whose acting out what has been inculcated.

Find, pursue and punish the architects and enablers of the culture.

This guy is just a useful idiot. He's us, under different circumstances.

And he now has no income, no chance of ever getting anything ever again commensurate with his experience anywhere in the entire country, and on top of that, everyone in his street, his hood, his city and his country now hates his guts.

And they only made an example because of the publicity it got. This is why people need to shine lights. However sadly the elite evil ones don't fall as easily!

The scary thing is, the attitude demonstrated here in this case is exemplified thousands of times every single day across the country in the TSA, DHS, ICE, you name it.

It's called boiling the frog.

The problem is that many folk when given a uniform will undergo a sudden and profound character change.  It is as if that blue cloth invades the DNA of the wearer and he/she/it goes from person to asshole in a split second.

But, we must not generalise because there are a host of really good policeman who do their jobs but are never in the public eye for doing a good deed etc.  Seems the good ones are mostly in the smaller communities..   MSM is sensation driven and will always pick the cases where their publication can score the most mileage.

Do not trust a Poliseman :gsbrnint:
