Justin Rosenstein has taken drastic steps as he has made tweaks to the operating system of his computer to block Reddit and has banned Snapchat, saying that it is like heroin, along with limiting himself the use of Facebook and he had taken more radical steps for restricting addictive technology.

Rosenstein Has Parental Control On iPhone To Limit Himself

He bought a new iPhone and asked his assistant to set up the parental control feature that would stop him from downloading apps to the new phone. He describes likes on Facebook as being bright dings of pseudo-pleasure and has said that they are just as hollow as they can be seductive. He knows as he was the engineer for Facebook who created the like button. At the time the like button was called the awesome button and he had remained up all night coding the prototype. He belonged to a growing band of heretics of Silicon Valley who complained about the rise in the attention economy, which was an internet that had been shaped around demands of advertising economy.

People Cannot Resist Checking Facebook And Twitter Feeds

Rosenstein said that often it is common for human beings to develop something and have the best of intentions for it, but it has consequences that are negative and unintended. He said that he also worked at Google and helped in the creation of Gchat, but he now leads a company based in San Francisco. The company improves productivity in the office and is concerned about the psychological effects on people continually have to tap, touch or swipe their device many thousands of times a day to check on likes, messages and other things. He said that today there is a concern that is growing about users of smartphones being addicted along with technology being a contribution to continuous partial attention. He said that it limits the ability of people to be able to focus and this lowers the IQ. A study recently revealed that even the presence of phones could damage the cognitive capacity and this applies even when the device is turned off. He went on to say that people get distracted all of the time. Rosenstein believes that the concerns may be only trivial in comparison to the devastating impact that could happen on the political system that some peers have said is linked to social media rise along with the market, that is attention based, which drives it. He said that a straight line could be drawn between social media addiction and Brexit, to the rise of Donald Trump and said that digital forces have now upended political systems and if something is not done democracy could become obsolete.

Neuromarketing should be illegal.

Since it's not, it's being used to control by tapping into the subconscious using the biometric database stored on everyone who uses digital devices.

Buy Wax Ecstatic.

The video was far ahead of it's time.

Great song, great video.  And people wonder why we have an opiode "crisis" today.  That's all people do is take pills and consume. It's the Establishment that's created the whole market and phenomenon of addiction for their profit and control.

LOL!!! Not too far off topic. But back in HS, a buddy got hold of a silver helmet, wrapped himself completely in tin foil and took off running down a two lane highway. Yep, the local cop shop was inundated with panic calls reporting alien sightings.

Funny you ask!, i can tell you they are what is used to stop unwanted electronic waves from damaging sensitive rocket and other parts, so if they stop those signals, then probably would stop them from entering your brain, IF you can seal the neck area up well enough!! LOL:D

Lida machines and the Woodpecker OTHR. Used to influence and create fear in the 70's and 80's.
