"Ask Your Doctor" Commercials, Something really odd about that

They're still pushing the drugs on tv the same as they were when I had cable a few years ago.  Anyway, when I heard those commercials, I would start to feel strange, ill in a way.  My sister said they were doing the same thing to her. She also ditched her cable at around the same time. We talked about that a lot and neither one of us felt that way when watching other commercials.

Probably something subliminal in them, don't watch them, I think it's doing something negative to our minds and it's able to affect the body as well.

EDIT: See below post.. they are increasing it!

The term "ask your doctor" is a power move. Most will hear doctor and trust them. Others like us will laugh because we do not respect doctors, because of what they do.

 Ask your doctor about:

Mo-Van-tik

What is Movantik?

Movantik (naloxegol) is a prescription medicine that blocks certain effects of narcotic medicines. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.

Movantik is used to treat opioid induced constipation (OIC) caused by prescription pain medicines called narcotic or opiates, in adults with long-lasting (chronic) pain that is not caused by cancer. Naloxegol treats constipation without reducing the pain-relieving effects of the narcotic.

this is the commercial I think about when I hear about drugs being pushed over the TV.

:gsbrnint:

WTF!?

If & when I'm in a "doctor's" office I'm looking around, scoping their merits, where from, their advertising of drugs. Then hit em with a question.

And they have drugs to help you with the side effects of chemotherapy that you take at home instead of staying in the hospital. At the end of the commercial it said something like ..... and may cause death.

Yes and then say that your body has become so used to the drugs that you now need a stronger dose! These big pharmas dont care about our health - just that their pockets are full of cash

At the end of the ones they run here, they actually tell you that your liver, kidneys and heart might be damaged from taking those poisons.

The side effects for their drugs are worse then the cure!! LOL

They can not advertise cigarettes or tobacco products, but they can advertise any lab made drug they want to. The Marlboro Man is crying. I liked the Marlboro Man. He was not the reason I started smoking though. Neither were those old movies with the long, fancy cigarette holders. I loved those. I had a silver one when I was younger. Looked so cool or I thought so in my 20s anyway. :gsbrnint:

The problem I have with 'asking your doctor' is that a lot of doctors get kickbacks from the drug companies for prescribing their drugs already. So if you walk into a doctor's office and ask for the very drug he is getting paid, by the drug company, to prescribe to you.... I see that as a conflict of interest on the doctor's side. This has been proven and brought out in the sunshine for everyone to gaze at. How corrupt and how much the drug companies are ripping us off. The cost of drugs in other countries. The way Obama codified it into law that we could not bargain for our drug prices but had to take whatever we were charged by the drug companies. And how they stopped the poor and middle class from taking advantage of Canada and Mexico's drug prices, which were so much lower, shipping and handling from Canada and taking a small trip to Mexico was included in the cost of the drugs. How's that for how expensive drugs are in the USA. I could take a trip to Mexico from Dallas, pay for gas and a night's lodging, and get the prescribed drugs and it's cheaper than walking into a USA pharmacy, drug store, and buying the prescriptions. How's that for expensive? And I didn't do this but I had friends that did this.

Then they decided to mess all this up. The drug companies were not getting rich enough and Americans were not allowed to get drugs they could not afford in their own country from another country. That might make them well and they wouldn't die.

And if you watch those drug commercials.... All I hear them saying are problems are part of normal life that people refuse to accept. I mean, come on. Viagra... Well... back in my day, no one mentioned that as it was a bedroom secret. Not something you blabbed about. How embarrassing for you. And hyperactive kids were normal kids. If they were bouncing off the walls, we cut off their sugar. I had an argument with an elementary school teacher about this. I was like, not doping the kid. She is a normal kid. WTF happened to PE and recess? Not doping her. And I didn't. After me, yep all me because no one told me it was ADDICTING (Ritalin), that kid never touch that stuff again. She refused and threw a fit I heard when they tried to put her back on it. I had this kid half a year or so. She was thrown at me one day and her Mom ran to Florida with her new boyfriend. The kid did not even know her Dad when she was thrown out on his doorstep. He didn't know what to do with her. She was 9 or so years old... Young.

There are a lot of things they take drugs for now that we didn't consider something to take a drug for. You had constipation. Go eat you a chocolate ex lax. Works excellent. On a baby (the ones without teeth), give them regular milk chocolate. That works very well as I did that once. No one told me they couldn't have chocolate. That baby crapped and crapped and crapped. And it probably only had one hersey's kiss. I was giving it the point of my hersey's kisses. It wanted them ya know. I was never asked to watch the kid again. They believed me after that when I told them I know NOTHING about no babies. :gsbrnint:

And if you were tired all the time, you got fed liver and onions. I hated liver and onions when I was a kid. Diet, diet, diet. All the old women would sit around and talk about how they needed to add this or that or omit this or that from their diet. And if you mentioned you had a small problem, well.... they had a remedy for that. Some type of food or vitamin or mineral would fix you right up. And chicken soup was always good for the soul. Add plenty of veggies. If you had the flu, you got to drink 7up. A soda/pop/coke was a treat ya know. You didn't feed your kids sodas. Those were treats, not drinks. We drank water, koolaid, milk or fruit juices. All those sodas are not good for you. Too much sugar. Candy was a treat. We ate cobblers and cakes and cookies instead of candy if you wanted sugar.

We ate different foods back then. And they were not GMOs. People grew more of their food or they did around me. We did not eat so much processed foods nor drink so much sodas nor eat all those chips and salty snacks. I love old cookbooks. Find you some old ladies and ask to see their cookbooks. They will have some canned foods but not many of them. And they mix their own baking mixes. No preservatives in them.

As far as I know, they did not use poison to harvest the grains either. They do today. All this stuff is having an effect on our health. They should not advertise drugs. They should advertise old fashioned cooking done in a new way with convection ovens and crockpots.

Bad medicine no doubt.

We all know that the doctors get kickbacks from the push on the medicines, and they have a 7 year patent before someone else can manufacture them...and on and on.

The drug commercials aren't the only one...oops almost forget the Larry King Live commercial for well no need to repeat it again...Lawsuit for medical malpractice and implants that fail...
