Oklahoma deputy shoots dead man who shot local police chief

Ya, ya, I know it's never funny when someone gets injured or killed, but the headline to this made me :chuckle: . These journalists need to read their own article titles before they post them.  Why would they shoot a dead man and how did this dead man shoot a local police chief.

Oklahoma state police were investigating on Sunday after a sheriff’s deputy killed a 67-year-old man who shot a local police chief.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said authorities arrived on Sunday to a house in Pond Creek where homeowners reported that a man was trying to get inside their home.

Officers from three agencies arrived and began speaking with Clifford Butler Jr. The state bureau said that as officers tried to subdue Butler, he pulled a gun and shot the Pond Creek police chief.

There was another one like this yesterday except the headline wasn't as ridiculous.

Kentucky Trooper Shooting Suspect Is Shot and Killed

Kentucky state trooper who made a seemingly routine traffic stop was trying to arrange for lodging for the vehicle's occupants when the driver took off, starting a tragic chain of events that led to the deaths of the lawman and the suspect, police said Monday.

Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder, 31, was shot by the suspect a short time later during a second stop late Sunday in a rural area of western Kentucky, said Trooper Jay Thomas, a state police spokesman.

Ponder, a Navy veteran, had been on the state police force less than a year.

The suspect, 25-year-old Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks of Florissant, Missouri, ran away and was found hours later after a massive overnight manhunt in a wooded area about 9 miles from the initial stop and less than a mile from where the trooper had been gunned down, Thomas said.

Johnson-Shanks drew a weapon at a state police trooper, ignored commands to drop his weapon and was shot, Thomas said. He died later at a hospital.

I was reading somewhere that news articles are actually being written by A.I. This might be why we're seeing so many odd headlines like this. Here's an article I just found, not the same one I saw before, though.

Wow. I wonder how many people think nothing of it or don't even catch it.

Thats all that will be left of Japan one day soon.....I still cannot believe the IOC is going to allow Tokyo as an Olympic host....one quake and a release with the wrong wind direction and it will kill all the worlds top athletes and everyone watching them.

BTW...Most of those tanks are years beyond their initial ratings...

I hadn't thought of that.
I don't pay much, well any, attention to sports.
Another manufactured disaster around every corner.
