No Change in Threat Level from Recent North Korea Events

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), our federal and military partners, continue to monitor the recent events surrounding North Korea and their threatening actions.

“As of this morning, we have not changed our stance in confidence that the U.S. Department of Defense is monitoring this situation very closely and is maintaining a condition of readiness, daily,” stated George Charfauros, Homeland Security Advisor. “We will continue to keep the public updated on any changes or requests for action. For now, we advise the community to remain calm, remember that there are defenses in place for threats such as North Korea and to continue to remain prepared for all hazards.”

Multiple news organizations report that North Korea has produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit on its missiles. Internationa
l news organizations also reported that North Korea threatened to carry out a plan to fire missiles at Guam and the surrounding areas.

At this point, we know the following:

• All information is coming from media reports.

• The Guam Homeland Security Advisor is in regular contact with national Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. He has not received any statement that there is an imminent threat.

• The Governor of Guam will meet with local military officials to determine if there is any update to military stance.

• There is no imminent threat to the safety of the residents and visitors of Guam and the CNMI at this time.

Calling the NK bluff?

Downplaying the situation?

The whole thing is fake theater, to begin with?

Distraction?

What do you guy's think? At this point, I'm fairly confused.

I know he isn't the best of leaders but some of the propaganda outside of actual knowledge of the situation is getting stupid.

I think its propaganda bollocks myself. The re-entry of a warhead is not a trivial thing and that is only step 3 after you miniaturise the warhead and get a reliable delivery vehicle.

Even China with its massive resources didn't have re-entry capability till Clinton gave it to them in the 90's.

If one thinks China would be interested in giving the tech to NK I think one needs to explain why China would want to do that. The last thing it needs is a conflict on its border which could go nuclear, its interests lie in maintaining the status quo that has existed for the last several decades.

One might think Israel might want to give NK the tech, it's already given it surveillance tech. But I think the same argument applies. Why would Israel want to do that when its interests are in destroying Iran and if the US gets involved in an NK conflict that goes nuclear, how would that be of benefit.

Russia and China have both said the latest test was not an ICBM but an IRBM and frankly I rely more on them than I do on the Western media and on the Pentagon and US military intelligence, when its trying to manage public perception for a regime change operation its in the process of conducting, which is what they are doing here.

So my read, FWIW is that:

a) NK is on its own here in developing this extremely advanced tech to get the re-entry vehicle which takes very special alloys the worldwide sources of which you can bet the US intel community is as I type, keeping an extremely close eye on. I don't think they have it already, if they did they would have run the recent test program differently. What NK have done is simply taken one small step each time, but it's all been to do with increasing the range of the missiles, none of the other required capabilities have been demonstrated and if NK had the capability, why wouldn't she have demonstrated them and trumpeted them?

b) The US is lying on its assessment of NK capabilities, for what purpose I don't know. Nuclear false flag? Again, Iran is a much more likely target of such an event and while the US intel/defence community were clearly tolerant of dropping a few skyscrapers in Manhatten, I'd be pretty sure they would draw the line at allowing a whole city to be consumed by a WMD. So I think they're just making fear porn, building it up, getting a negotiating position so Trump can ride in and save the day, and all the sheeple clap and cheer.

No Worries..Guam will be just fine, Unless all the Chamorro's run to one side of the island and it tips over..LOL

This story is from 2016

<snip>

They jointly held a press conference aimed to send a message to North Korea, that U.S. forces and weapons based on Guam — temporarily or permanently — serve as an extension of America’s capabilities to deal with North Korea if the need arises.

<snip>

The THAAD system is positioned somewhere in a remote area of Andersen Air Force Base as a layer of defense in the event North Korea or another enemy tries to launch a missile attack at Guam.

The THAAD on Guam is the only such U.S. system positioned outside of the continental United States, said Lt. Col. Jeffery Slown, commander of Task Force Talon, an Army air and missile defense entity that’s responsible for the THAAD.
