Earthquake watch for Sunday: Geomagnetic storm with Full Moon

Recommended Posts

NOAA has forecasted a 60% chance of G1 storm on Sunday from a stream of solar wind

Combine this with a Full Moon

And you have My favorite recipe for some big shakers.

For shits and giggles, let's throw in a rapidly growing sun spot turning earths direction at the same time.

Yeah, saw that complex sunspot on SO's report yesterday. If the pos/neg components combine, we could see an x-class flare.

But pay attention to when the magnetic wind from that huge earth-facing coronal hole is due to strike. There's your shaker-maker!

The full moon might come in handy for light when you're making your way out of the rubble.

Plus in the Atlantic Ocean alone, there is about 380 quadrillion tons of water sloshing back and forth with full moon tides.

Yeah. And I guess I need to check up on that depression forming out there as well. I've already seen Florida and the east coast mentioned.

I love moosehead. I drank it religiously in my twenties. If not then get some Foster's oil cans.

Not in the mood for one today. Turn off the earthquake maker. Thank you.

Ok. You got God's ph# ?

Once, I dialed 1-800-Jesús  and a Mexican with a lawn mower showed up at my front door. Don't think he could stop an earthquake, but you never know.

:p
