3 Cases Known / Incurable Gonorrhea

Recommended Posts

http://news.trust.org/item/20170706230350-0v27u

LONDON, July 7 (Reuters) - At least three people worldwide are infected with totally untreatable "superbug" strains of gonorrhoea which they are likely to be spreading to others through sex, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday.

Giving details of studies showing a "very serious situation" with regard to highly drug-resistant forms of the sexually-transmitted disease (STD), WHO experts said it was "only a matter of time" before last-resort gonorrhoea antibiotics would be of no use.

(Snip)..... who gave details in a telephone briefing of two studies on gonorrhoea published in the journal PLOS Medicine, said one had documented three specific cases - one each in Japan, France and Spain - of patients with strains of gonorrhoea against which no known antibiotic is effective.

This will spread like wildfire, especially in moslum and meth areas. None of those places will contain them either, they will be off like lil typhoid marys, same as the aids people. It will be here before 6 more months go by, most likely.

We already have a resistant one running from 5 or so years back, it's this invulnerable one that has joined the ranks of those that nothing works on.

So next we will hear....?.....bill gates gonorrhea VACCINE! (Wouldn't surprise me.)

Does gonorrhea cause a person to become deranged and blow their mind the way that syphilis does?

It can disseminate but will most likely cause a joint infection/arthritis type deal. If it gets into the blood stream you can become septic and that will cause mental changes.

That's true. With syph the spirochete invade and eat up the brain, causing the degenerative dementia.

Clap is noisome, synovitis and potentially developing immune responses are not small things. Hard to treat too.

We are having an increase in my county of it. I work third shift at the hospital and over the past couple months I've had a bunch of positives. Kinda gross.

Good idea! Not much of a lineage there... :p

I'm thinking the dna screening and sample cleaning are going to be an expanding industry. You may not want to try and mess with nature, but making sure it hasn't messed with you might be worth it. I can see a period while the species adapts, where people go to dna months before and find out, even having it cleaned up a little or selectively grabbing only what is still intact. Avoiding natural blind pregnancy for more certain outcomes until humans adapt?
