Making An Account on GLP

Recommended Posts

ive heard on here that jason wants us to create a free basic account on there so he can track us and create a profile on us. is this true?

if you ask me, this makes no sense... can they not already track us when we post as AC's????? im sure almost everyone uses a VPN to post on there, but how will making a basic account make any difference? you can just use a bogus email address to sign up and use a VPN.

I'd imagine if true that having an account would waive certain rights you may have...

Stick around long enough here and you won't care much at all what's happening over there, just know to avoid it.

There are a lot of people who don't know anything about this type of cloaking themselves. They are innocent and honest people who expect the site they sign up for, to be the same way.

Simple trace route can see the hops and final IP.

Complex traces go right through VPN.

But if you pay, hard to hide your card and name, unless you use a throw away pre loaded.

That place led to a series of intense situations.

I will say no more.

People depend too much on a VPN. They don't do much on GLP except MAYBE hide your location. What else would anyone expect it to do if your posting? If you're just lurking and reading, they are great as long as not signing in.

A VPN is only good against someone who is trying to follow you across the internet. The VPN tunnel doesn't cover you fully. It just covers what you're doing so you can't be followed so easily. Security with a VPN does not apply when posting on any public forum. Even Tor won't do anything unless you're just lurking even with its changing nodes/IP addresses. However, you should still be using a paid VPN service in addition to Tor Network Security. Remember, once you post, all bets are off! Other browsers other than Tor will give you away because every browser has a unique fingerprint that will show once you are banned. Changing your VPN will usually do very little to get you reconnected. Of course, you can't sign in when banned no matter what you use. Only as anonymous.
