Brussels: Two explosions and gunfire reported

Recommended Posts

BELGIAN police have reportedly shot a suspect wearing an “explosive belt” at Brussels central train station.

Troops swarmed the city centre terminal after unverified reports of a blast inside.

They say unverified... But I see someone on fire in that source image!

Police tweeted to say the “incident involving an individual” was under control.

Local media reported that a man wearing an explosive belt had been “neutralised”.

Witness of Brussels Attack Speaks Out: Two Explosions

Remy Bonnaffe gave his account of the bomb attack in Brussels, Belgium Tuesday night that killed only the terrorist.

A man with a rucksack and a bomb belt detonated a bomb in Brussels Central Station and was shot and "neutralized" by soldiers, the government stated. No one else was injured according to reports. Both the station as well as Grand Place, a tourist site, were evacuated.

Some Belgium media quoted the attacker as saying, "Allahu Akbar," which means "God is great" in Arabic just before he detonated the bomb.
