bah I missed this one. not looking good is it..

No ....It looks like it could very well happen....Especially when you factor in the weird radar  anomaly

from a few weeks back that appeared over the dam area and the possibility of an earthquake.......AND if you believe TPTB want that dam to break as a distraction or a ritual sacrifice .......

Lets assume it will happen. What is likely to trigger it? Overflow of water? structural integrity failing? If we can get a grasp on which is more likely given what we know we might be able to figure more out!

To be honest I believe TPTB will make it happen in the middle of the night to drown the maximum amount of people ......But I don't know how they will go about it....

That snow melt is going to be wild ...

The Sierra Sees Record-Breaking Snowpack This Season

To date, the ever-so-light snow that’s been falling by the foot has piled up to amounts that exceed resorts’ season totals, and it’s only mid-March

...

According to an article that appeared in USA TODAY on March 2nd, the snow was so deep on March 1st at one snow data measuring site [Slide Mountain at Mt Rose Ski Tahoe, Nevada] that the devices scientists brought to do their measurements weren’t long enough. The statewide California snowpack is estimated to be 185% of normal for the date, with the historic snowpack peak still a month away. The Lake Tahoe Basin snowpack is at 220% of normal, and the Truckee River Basin snowpack is at 207% of normal.

53 feet below the level of the emergency spillway  and you're hollering gloom despair and evacuation :)    hahaha....and click baiters like drama :)

Inflows are a lot  closer  to doubling than tripling as the video says.  He skews the starting inflows to lower than they really were while overstating inflows to get that alarming figure.  Which really isn't alarming at all considering we were experiencing very  low inflows due to a good solid two weeks of no rain at all :)   Of COURSE inflows have doubled....it's raining again!   Who'd a thunk it!  :)

And pray tell....what does Shasta Lake have to do with anything in Oroville?   Since it doesn't drain into Oroville and in fact isn't even in the same watershed...dumping ALL it's effluent down into the valley hundreds of miles north of Oroville....it's only value in this report is ...ummmm.....sensationalism and unwarranted fear.

Marlowe, I know  its considered valid to sit around campfires and tell ghost stories and scare the pee out of each other.  Maybe that's what you're into....sort of a I'll tell you scary lies and you tell me scary lies and we'll both pretend we believe each other and we'll get all scared and eat smores.

It's entertaining.  I'm just not used to dealing with  it among adults :)

Inflows are roughly equal to outflows at this point.  The lake level isn't even rising yet.  Outflows are at least 15,000 cfs BELOW theoretical max for the current situation.

There is no panic, no reason to believe a new disaster is imminent.   Sound minded people who actually reason based on real information are watching for that.

It ain't here.

Still waiting.....taps foot.....looks at watch.....

This doom and gloom PORN was a total non event.Like anyone who is actually watching the weather knew.Or actually watching what is happening at the dam,the repairs, the levels, the inflows.

This next 'major storm' ,friday, will also be another normal weather event, a spring shower in Northern Cal.OMG!!!!!
