Party ruined by the Feds... make me weep, I could use a vacation, too... like lots of us here, but can't because I have to work!

he organizers of a large Cinco de Mayo celebration in Philadelphia, Penn., have canceled this year’s celebration due to fears of a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration.

“We have people who travel all the way from Chicago, Connecticut and New York,” Edgar Ramirez, one of the organizers of El Carnaval de Puebla, told NBC 10 News of Philadelphia. “We don’t want anything to happen to them.”

Ramirez said the six organizers of the event agreed unanimously to cancel the parade, and that the decision was “sad but responsible” in the present climate, where immigrant communities feel targeted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Why do we allow foreigners to celebrate winning a battle against the french inside our country?

If they want to celebrate how great Mexico is, they can do it in Mexico.

If they want to celebrate how great America is, they can stay.

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo (pronounced: [ˈsiŋko ðe ˈmaʝo]; Spanish for "Fifth of May") is a celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.
