Earthquake hits North Sea just miles from Yorkshire

The 3.9 magnitude quake hit at around 6.50pm around 100 miles east of Scarborough. 

The British Geological Survey located in Glasidale around 10 miles east of Whitby picked up the tremor this evening. 

A Survey spokesman said the cause of the tremor is yet to be confirmed.

Small quake but posting because I never hear of quakes there. Is this common or what? @Ukshep

I'm from the other side of the channel and we don't get any earthquakes here too often, my guess is that it has been over 20 years. And allways rather small ones up to 2.5M.

My body is telling me to be fearful.. it is telling me shit is going down..

But my mind is all..... f**k man you need to just enjoy the ride.
