Powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake strikes Bali and sends residents and tourists fleeing into the streets

A powerful 6.2 magnitude earthquake has hit Indonesian tourist hotspot Bali, sending residents and tourists fleeing into the streets on Friday.

There are no immediate reports of fatalities or damage and there have been no tsunami alerts issued.

The quake hit around 300 kilometres (190 miles) east of Bali at a depth of around 72 kilometres just off the island of Sumbawa at 6.30am (10.30am AEDT) on Friday, the US Geological Survey said.

There was a time not long ago when anything over a 5 was considered a dangerous quake. I'm desensitized to the sixers because what's big now is a 7 or more. WTH?

Yep, that Disaster Prediction app doesn't bother with anything less than a M6. As expected it was screaming at me yesterday about the risk due to the coronal holes (both departing and approaching).
