Obama Appoints Lawyer Of Cop-Killer To Civil Rights Post

Recommended Posts

I wonder what else Odouche will do before he leaves!

A lawyer who represented one of the most infamous cop-killers in American history has been selected by the president to fill a six-year term on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, The Washington Times reported.

Debo Adegbile, a lawyer who represented convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal in his role with the NAACP’s Legal Defense and Educational Fund in an attempt to overturn Abu-Jamal’s death sentence, was announced Thursday as Obama’s appointee to the position. The move prompted an outcry from law enforcement groups.

Abu-Jamal became a cause celebre for the far left after he was convicted in the 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.

“That’s just the old kick in the teeth to the cops,” John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police’s Philadelphia chapter, said in a radio appearance Friday morning. “I guess it’s Obama’s goodbye present to police across the nation.”
