Trump Bypasses Media With Direct YouTube/Twitter Distribution As Feud With Mainstream Outlets Rages

Recommended Posts

<snip>

But now that the campaigning is finally over, the true panic is setting in for the mainstream media as Trump is threatening to cut off the one thing they have left:  access.

While Trump's decision to bypass the media in recent days (starting with the message below posted on YouTube which has received millions of views) by speaking directly with the American electorate through direct distribution outlets like YouTube and Twitter may not seem like a big deal, it has the potential to be quite revolutionary.  After running a campaign that proved that blatant, and frankly insulting, pandering to various minority groups and endless cash hoards weren't necessarily direct determinants of election success, Trump seems intent upon proving that the mainstream media can be completely bypassed in the modern world...and it is glorious to watch.

I stated this a few days ago after the NYT debacle...two hours after their meeting Trump puts out a video on YT.

Typical Trump showing the media how irrelevant they really are after how the treated him during the campaign and election

DaddyO

edit: Look for other "bypasses" in the first hundred days.

As much as I'm enjoying seeing Trump sticking media arrogance up their own noses, I imagine their realization of their own irrelevance may produce a backlash.  If your very survival depends on the death of the internet as we now know it, then that death will be pursued with more vigor than ever before.

Expect much angst and attack against the openness of the web. I expect a full frontal media blitz on pornography. Which I personally have no issue with. Let them kill the one thing most of us despise.

ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama's Deputy Press Secretary ABC President Ben Sherwood is the brother of Obama's Special Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood CNN President Virginia Moseley is married to former Hillary Clinton's Deputy Secretary Tom Nides. hehehee...i really did enjoy that ZeroHedge article.  I hadn't realized just how hard and consistently Trump has been trolling the media :)  Releasing his "100 days" YouTube speech just a couple hours after dressing down media's biggest names like they were kindergartners flicking boogers on each other had to sting :)

This is why that 60 minutes lady shamed him so hard about his "tweeting"- Implying it was so disgraceful and "non-presidential" to do so that he finally vowed to be more restrained on twitter once in office. f**k that. I want a tweet every hour on the hour!
