President-elect Trump began announcing leaders of his transition team. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, whom many thought would have a lead in the new administration, has been replaced by Trump's running mate Mike Pence.

The news, first reported by the New York Times, were confirmed by the statement from Governor Chris Christie.

His kids are on the transition team. He's going to need loyal people around him, blood is thicker than water.

Actually, one of the smart moves by Trump. That way, Pence is "in" on everything, unlike some VP's in the past.  So just in case one of these attempts on Trump succeeds, Pence can jump right in.

Besides, "Bridgegate" is far from over. Christie will have his hands full with that.

I am thinking that Bridgegate is probably why he isn't there anymore. Don't need anymore negative publicity coming from somewhere like that for Trump, either.

That, and many remember how Christie kowtow'd to Obama after hurricane Sandy blew through. Might have been a tinge of suspicion of his allegiances left over?
