NBC Affiliate Accidentally Posts Election Results A Week Early

Hillary Wins Presidency 42% to Trump’s 40%

NBC affiliate WRCB TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee has inadvertently posted election night results. The results page appears to be similar to what mainstream news networks display on election night, including Presidential and Congressional results, the popular vote count, electoral votes, and percentage of precincts reporting.

The page, a screen shot of which has been sourced from internet archive site The Wayback Machine, is posted below and shows totals for the upcoming Presidential race. It announces Hillary Clinton as the winner.

As Jim Stone notes, the page was pulled directly from the WorldNow.com content management platform utilized by major networks like NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox and appears to be a non-public staging area for news and election results.

The original page has since been reset.

Oops: MSNBC Accidentally Publishes Election Results Showing Obama Win
Politico ^ | November 5, 2012 | Jason Howerton

MSNBC apparently published a test-page for Tuesday’s election results on accident, calling the election for President Barack Obama, Politico’s Dylan Byers reports.

While the “Presidential results” show GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney winning the popular vote 55-33 percent, the chart shows President Obama winning the election with 280 electoral votes to Romney’s 257.

While MSNBC may be excited to proclaim Obama’s victory, the network may want to wait until the votes are counted.

One problem with this fake news story. The electorate numbers are completely wrong, with a 40:42% split.]

Hillary would never have that much of the electorate.

Fake BS story.

Just to be fair, there are 3 cases of "premature" releases on votes and test votes in this thread that I posted.  Besides the one that is in the OP.  Check out how often they do this by typing in a few key words like, accidentally publishes election results or some variation and you will find evidence that this has been done before.

I was just about to say didn't they do this before. Post the results before the election. And didn't the opposite happen at least one of the times. Oh the dirty tricks of these f'ers. Ugh. Hopefully people see they the bs and not vote for her. Already got mine in yesterday ahead of the lines.
