Being in the banking industry in this day and age is proving to be a very dangerous proposition.

2 more bankers have turned up dead, both under rather suspicious circumstances.

As reported by Luke Funk of myfoxatlanta.com: The president of American Express died on board a plane bound for New York City on Friday. According to the company, Ed Gilligan became seriously ill on a flight home from Tokyo and passed away.

No other details about the incident were immediately released.

The 55-year-old, life-long company employee was returning from a business trip on a corporate jet.

The second death was an investment banker, who plunged to his death from the window of his million-dollar apartment in the Financial District on Thursday, sources and authorities said.

The 29-year-old man plunged from the 24th floor of the luxury Ocean apartment building at 1 West St. at about 10:40 a.m. and landed on a guardrail near the northbound Battery Park Underpass, narrowly missing a black SUV.
