  2. The tech billionaire posted the incredible image on social media, writing: "Last pic of Starman in Roadster enroute to Mars Orbit and then the Asteroid Belt." Scientists believe that radiation will tear the car into pieces within a year. http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2018/02/08/elon-musk-posts-final-photo-tesla-roadster-headed-to-asteroid-belt.html
  3. Retired Pope Benedict XVI revealed in a rare letter published in an Italian newspaper Wednesday that he's in the last phase of his life, and is on his "pilgrimage home." Benedict wrote the letter to the Corriere della Sera in response to readers who asked about his well-being as the five year anniversary of his stunning resignation approaches, the Catholic News Agency reported. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/02/07/retired-pope-benedict-says-is-in-last-phase-life-on-pilgrimage-home.html

  5. Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster apparently took a wrong turn in space, apparently overshooting the Mars orbit, and is headed instead for the asteroid belt. The plan was for the rocket’s second stage ignition to put it on an elliptical orbit around the Sun, that extends out to Mars – however, it looks like SpaceX miscalculated its strength. The final engine burn that was supposed to put the vehicle on its pre-desired orbit was stronger than expected and propelled the payload on an orbit through the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, The Verge reported. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2018/02/07/musks-tesla-has-new-orbit-and-its-headed-for-asteroid-belt.html

  7. President Trump has ordered the Pentagon to plan a military “celebration” in Washington, D.C. to show “appreciation” for the U.S. Armed Forces. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed on Tuesday that Trump requested such an event. “President Trump is incredibly supportive of America’s great service members who risk their lives every day to keep our country safe. He has asked the Department of Defense to explore a celebration at which all Americans can show their appreciation,” Sanders said. Trump had previously considered the idea of a military parade through the streets of the nation’s capital after attending France’s Bastille Day as the guest of honor in July. The president admired the country’s celebrations, and called the parade “magnificent.” It was a great honor to represent the United States at the magnificent #BastilleDay parade. 10. A “gently used” SpaceX rocket could apparently be yours. An advertisement appeared on Craigslist last week for what looks to be the rocket. A picture listed with the advertisement shows the “orbital launch vehicle” floating in water. “Fully loaded with onboard flight computer, launch and landing hardware,” the ad states. “Take off and land anywhere! 9X Merlin engines each capable of producing 200k lb.ft of thrust. Just fuel it up and it's ready to go. Says Falcon 9 on the body, slight burnt paint can be buffed out.” http://www.foxnews.com/science/2018/02/06/craigslist-seller-claims-to-have-gently-used-spacex-rocket.html
