A political leader of Yemen's rebel Houthi movement has been killed in a Saudi-led coalition air strike, a rebel-run TV channel says. Saleh Ali al-Sammad, chairman of the Houthis' Supreme Political Council, was "martyred" in the province of Hudaydah last Thursday, Al-Masirah reported. Mahdi al-Mashat has succeeded him. There was no immediate confirmation from the coalition, which has backed Yemen's government in the country's civil war over the past three years. <snip> http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-43872482 -

Hmmm... how many times have there been false alarms in different places? Hawaii comes to mind, but I know there were others. That would scare people do death. But next time they get a warning, will they pay attention?

I can never do enough for anyone, can I?

Yes, why is it a hot topic now? Because we're more vulnerable than we've ever been, maybe?

I was reading about that cooling issue and if someone isn't trucking fuel to keep things running, it's over. And who knows what conditions might be like trying to get in and out of there with the fuel. There would be chaos and thieves everywhere.

I have the book in digital format, it's really good. There are more than one book, I got the 2nd one but forgot the name. It was realistic and goes through what would happen, step by step. Not something anyone would want to have happen. I won't say anymore so I don't throw in spoilers.

Kitteh (no name yet) is doing really well. She's happy and purrs all the time when she's not talking. She's not shy at all and seems to be very happy. At least she's not showing any signs of abuse, just neglect. And she does have renal failure, but the tests weren't that bad so she'll be around for awhile. She's skinny but eating a lot, I hope she puts on some weight. She grabs my hand with both paws and holds on, I don't know what she thinks she's doing. lol And big surprise, rescue can't get in touch with the dumpers now.

He also said the power companies lobby against protection of the grid. f it went down, they'd have nothing. This makes no sense.
