  1. AFP also said 0 depth 3.4M quake in N. Korea, probably an explosion.
  2. Thousands of Balinese have evacuated their homes for temporary shelters and many more are expected to do so this weekend as the Indonesian tourist island braces for a potentially deadly eruption of the Mount Agung volcano, the first in more than half a century. Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency last night raised the volcano alert to a maximum level four and expanded the exclusion zone around the Bali tourist site to a 12km radius after seismic activity continued to escalate late yesterday. Mount Agung, about 75 kilometres from the tourist hub of Kuta, has been rumbling since August. <snip> http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/world/thousands-evacuated-as-bali-volcano-sparks-fear/news-story/7a323056f5e512345575a14cf4e1f213 It's heating up all over.
  3. The New York company behind the self-proclaimed "World's Strongest Coffee" has been forced to recall thousands of cans of the cold-brew caffeine drink after warnings from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The aptly-named ‘Death Wish Coffee’ recalled all 11-ounce cans of its nitrogen-infused Nitro Cold Brew coffee after fears that the toxins responsible for the deadly illness botulism might have made it into their product line. Botulism is a rare illness which causes the body to attack its own nerve cells. <snip> https://www.rt.com/usa/404254-death-wish-coffee-recall/ I probably would have tried that coffee if I saw it at the store. lol
  4. You're preaching to the choir, but I would love to hear your solution to actually kicking them out. Do you have a plan?
  5. I only saw this with Japan. I wonder how long this continues after a quake. It's really scary looking. And shows how vulnerable we are!
  6. I have them in my family, too, but I never walked in their shoes or served in the military. Just because I know them doesn't make me know what's inside their head. And I can quote you all day long of the millions of people that other people have killed as well. It's the ones in the future that will die that I am concerned about, because it's coming and I don't want it to.
  7. No, you're not over the target when you insult individuals and have a holier than thou attitude toward people whom you've never walked in their shoes. Such as military veterans. Crit the government all you want, that's pretty much what we do here. But, people, not so much. I don't see anyone hiding here or passing blame, I see a lot of frustrated people who are sick and tired of the way things are and they want it to change.
  8. Well, then you're a lowly American just like a lot of us.
  9. I think I could whoop them, their weapons are bigger than they are. lol
  10. A highly drug-resistant strain of malaria dubbed “super malaria” is spreading rapidly in South East Asia, leading scientists to warn that it could soon be a global threat. The disease, most commonly transmitted by mosquitoes infected with the parasite, was first detected in Cambodia in 2008 but has now spread to the three remaining countries that make up the Eastern Greater Mekong subregion: Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. In a letter, published in Lancet Infectious Diseases, the team studying the spread of the disease from the Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit in Bangkok, said the rapid spread “presents one of the greatest threats to the control and elimination of malaria.” Adding that the fact it is mostly drug resistant is a “sinister development”. <snip> https://www.rt.com/news/404269-super-malaria-spreading-rapidly-asia/ I hope the hurricane hit areas dry up soon, before this makes it way there!
  11. A ROAD in Mexico has been caught still moving – as “if it was breathing” – in the wake of the devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake that ripped through the country’s capital. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/4518720/mexico-earthquake-aftermath-breathing-road-video/amp/ This reminds me of the ground in Japan where it was liquifying after the 2011 quake and tsunami.
  12. I'm tired of watching cowards come in here and bash the hell out of the American people when we have no chance of changing what is happening with the MIC. It's not in our hands. How much control do you have over your government? I'd say none. Just like Americans have none. The people here for the most part are anti war, so your lumping everyone into a pile of war mongers is less than fair and is just an excuse for you to feel good about yourselves. Isn't it? Keep on hiding behind your keyboard regarding your country of origin. I think you don't have the guts to say where you are from because your country sucks just as bad if not worse than America's GOVERNMENT sucks. Any takers or are you going to keep on being cowards and bashing anonymously? Americans have heard enough of this shit and your blaming people when you know the story is just showing me that you are pissed off at the world in general and Americans are your punching bags. You can bash the U.S. Government all you like, but give us a chance to bash yours, too, because you know they are not angels either, just like we all do. I bash them myself, but when you start on the people as individuals... that's another story altogether. I look at that as just being a bully.
  13. And you, too. Where are you from? Hiding that so we don't know because your history is ugly?
