GRAPHIC: Body Cam Shows Woman Shot Dead Head on as She Attacks Cop with an Ax

The shooting happened Wednesday at an apartment where a woman was being evicted.

Police said the woman, LaRonda Sweatt, first attacked a Sumner County Sheriff’s deputy with an ax.

Officer James Spray’s body camera shows Sweatt advancing toward him and threatening him with the ax.

Spray was backed up against his police car before firing two shots at Sweatt.

Police said officers attended to Sweatt. She later died at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

Spray has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

CRAZY SHIT MAN!

Probably high on crack. That shit makes people do stupid things.

Example: Thinking you can beat someone with an ax when they have a gun.

why can't they use non-lethal weapons like the shotguns that shoot bean bags or tasers?  :bricks:

Well i think this might have went down differently if the cop car had not pulled up so close as to cause the police officer to back into the hood and flinch causing him to discharge his firearm!

I'd shoot anyone coming at me with an ax.  Shudders.

You could just get in the car and back up 250 feet.

Then punch it and run her down.

Human life is sacred.

Until it rushes you with an axe.
