Tiny Homes

3 posts in this topic

I like the concept....but it disturbs me as this is what we were told might happen many years ago as part of the conditioning process which leads to people living under a new paradigm which is just as mentally binding as the current one. That said many of these tiny homes are designed by people who clearly think outside the box.

This one is bicycle portable, yes you can move it with your bicycle and take it on tour.

In NZ we are starting to see these pop up as our house prices climb. Instead of purchasing a $500,000NZD house and section people are spending less than $200,000NZD to have an 80,000 tiny home on a really nice secluded section big enough to provide close to self sustenance. Most come with their own power these days and have water supplied by rain (but you can pay to have your tanks topped up, around $100 for 5000 litres) and septic tanks for sewerage. Most modern septic tanks where I live are bio-septic tanks so they won't ever need empting....but they can be if required.

There is still a relatively strong house bus/truck movement in NZ. Some of my friends were house truckers and they travel around the country going here or there. They also have secret meet up sites, places up gravel roads leading to clearing which they may or may not know the owners if they are not the owners themselves.

The thought of living in a tiny home wasn't appealing to me...until I saw how clever many of them are. Perhaps not for a family situation, but perhaps everyone in the family could have one of their own.

They have this here in the states as well. When I was single I really thought about it and it is definitely doable but with a family I think I'd be tough. Granted depending on circumstances you might not have a choice. But I think that this is also kinda a psy op/agenda21 deal. Mega stack and pack cities. 180sq ft apts for the masses. Tiny houses is the rural version of that I believe.

I am pretty sure the Tiny House movement started in the USA.

Someone was thinking innovatively, almost like Punk Music, doing something different with the same old 3 chords.

Some of them are very clever and because of the size you can have them in locations that are exotic and not able to used by conventional houses. Air lifted into place if required.
