U.S. Citizens May Be Banned from Buying Body Armor

18 posts in this topic

Just one more story of your rights possibly being eroded this time its body armor so you cannot protect yourself against the bullets of tyranny.

It’s time to remind US citizens again of HR 378, the Act that would “prohibit the purchase, ownership, or possession of enhanced body armor by civilians, with exceptions,” (source). The Act caused a stir when it was first reported on in early 2015, but has since dwindled in the media, and slipped through the cracks of the public’s attention. The proposal is still open, however, and those who are interested can track its progress through the (source) link above.

The Act was proposed on January 14, 2015 by Representatives Michael Honda (D-CA), Alcee Hastings (D-FL), Robin Kelly (D-IL), and Danny Davis (D-IL). According to washingtonwatch.com, other sponsors or cosponsors include Representatives Barbara Lee (D-CA), Eric Swalwell (D-CA), and Julia Brownley (D-CA).

The controversy surrounding the topic spills over into the gun-rights issue, but regardless of your opinion on guns, whether or not we have the right to protect ourselves from them should not be an issue. The fact is, armor itself doesn’t hurt anyone (it’s designed to do the opposite), so why is an Act being proposed to take a form of safety away?

Taking away a method to protect yourself?

“This bill allows law enforcement to respond to active shooting situations more effectively. The bill prohibits the purchase, sale, or possession of military-grade body armor by anyone except certain authorized users, such as first-responders and law enforcement.”

Great points raised. Yet another red flag. Still not sure if they are using reverse psychology to get everyone to run out & stock up or just blatantly trying to strip Americans of their self defense. Probably the latter.

They want it to be illegal for you to live through a hail of their bullets.  Is there any other way to look at this thing, really?

They don't want people to e able to take the fight to them on a level playing field.

I have been watching the US military train their people for urban house to house combat since they went back to the Gulf for the second time. That worried me. It had not been in the US military play book until them. When you have green troops you train them up to do what you want them to do later by putting them through those paces. It seems obvious and in your face they were preparing the US military to take actions at home...which they are not allowed to do.

The missing piece of the puzzle was military contractors. That is where you go if you are a cold blooded killer and you have done your service. That is who will be employed to do urban combat in the USA if required because they are the sort of people  who can and would shoot their own people.

If you had body armour you could get the drop on people entering your premises instead of the other way around. Military contractors wouldn't like going on potential suicide missions, they are a bit fussy like that. It is a long slow slide towards a militarized USA, perhaps like Ireland was in the IRA days tih check points everywhere and people having to carry ID and perhaps travel papers like in Nazi Germany.

How many false flag attacks would it take from here to have that being instituted I wonder?

They've already started the process with checkpoints as far as 80 miles inland from the Mexican border and check points for dui. You've got checkpoints for the U.S.D.A. who, if I remember correctly are now armed just like the BLM.  They armed almost every government agency simultaneously a few years back, including the Social Security Administration. They're that afraid.

Indeed,  and its that fear that makes them even more psychotic and dangerous.

It was shown during the Oregon stand off that protecting yourself against them is illegal.  They cited their rules and regs (published, guess where at some point? The Federal Register!) You are not allowed to defend yourself against the government, no matter what they are doing to you.  Because they are always presumed to be "the good guys" and they are acting on "our behalf" representing the people (twisted).

The rise of the Nazi's in Germany was not an over night thing, it took over a decade.

Two thing they brought in was the Brown Shirts and the Black Shirts. Brown shirts were like citizens national loyalty brigade who would report anyone who wasn't acting German and Nazi enough, you could liken them to the TSA with a roving license.

The Black Shirts were employed to do what they did. More like Home Land Security. They would take away people in the middle of the night, but nice and loud to make sure everyone in the street knew what happened and who took them away. That freaked the German people out so much they were afraid to step out of line, because it seemed everyone was watching everyone and you could not be seen to not be going along with everything ...or your were next.

Everyone (once War started) had to have ID and papers, Travel Papers. They rounded up the homeless and shot them so no spies (think terrorists today) could fake being a homeless person. They killed the mentally insane, the unfit those who did not fit in or were a drain on society. The accounts of prisoners of War escaping in German made it plain how hard it was because there was nowhere to hide and no-one who would give you refuge. With no homeless people you couldn't sleep on a park bench during your escape to a port. They had to have fake ID's, fake papers (fake programmable RFID chips if you talk to physical hackers) travel permits. Today with our computerization you would have to hack data bases to fake your way along if you had decided to Shadowrun. (fake identity for the purpose of doing thing you normally cannot do, also use of currency which is untraceable).

People got used to the Brown shirts and Black shirts over time. It became normal. That is what they are doing in the USA, TSA gropes your cock of fingers you every time you travel, but hey you get used to it and it is normal after time. Check points at random staffed by cops in full battledress amour, but after a while you get used to it and it becomes normal, Particularly for the kids who grow up knowing no other way!

That is the game, the game of what you can make normal over time.

Send in some Contractors to find dissidents and terrorists door to door. Sure some people get killed and maybe the cops kill a few people each week by accident, but it become normal after time.

It isn't about drawing a line any more, it is about using the pen and the ruler your use to draw the line as weapons.

If you can't buy body armor, you will probably be arrested for making your own, I presume. When they want to make something illegal that protects your body (whether you would ever use any or not) makes me think that there is going to be a need for it at some point and they don't want you to have that protection. And I doubt it's reverse psychology to get people to go out and buy it. If they did want that, all they'd have to do is say "Boo! Boogeyman cometh!" And everyone would run out and buy tons of the stuff because they use nothing but fear tactics to get what they really want.
