15 posts in this topic

All Los Angeles Unified School District schools were closed Tuesday after LAUSD received a “credible terror threat,” according to school district officials and police.

More details about the threat were expected to be provided during a Tuesday morning news conference.

Officer Kim of the Los Angeles Police Department told KTLA that the threat prompted the decision from LAUSD Superintendent Ramon Cortines to close all schools until further notice.

They are spoofing, they are trying to wear everyone down as to catch them off guard.

Dates for credible attacks are 16th 18th and 24th - That's all I'm saying.

What we know so far:

  • All Los Angeles Unified School District campuses are closed after officials received a 'credible threat' of violence involving backpacks and packages left at campuses.
  • LAUSD has more than 900 schools and is the nation's second-largest school district with more than 700,000 students.
  • Citing recent events,  LAUSD Superintendent Ramon Cortines said he couldn’t take a chance. He has asked police to search all campuses, adult school and early education centers before reopening Wednesday.
  • A threat was also made against New York City schools, but the New York Police Department has deemed it non-credible.

New York City Schools Received Same Threat as Los Angeles

Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Police Commissioner Bill Bratton kept schools open after deeming the email threat as “not credible” and a hoax, the Associated Press reports.

“Our schools are safe,” de Blasio said. “Kids should be in school today.”

It's got to be a tough call. We know that ISIS has agents everywhere, a threat from overseas would seem to indicate, if legit, a Planned, organized, well-funded/equipped sort of attack.I'm so glad I never had children, I'd be a total basket case. Not fearful, but the nonchalant attitudes from the PTB is not reassuring.
