School principal bans Santa, Thanksgiving and Pledge of Allegiance

6 posts in this topic

Santa Claus is banned. The Pledge of Allegiance is no longer recited. “Harvest festival” has replaced Thanksgiving, and “winter celebrations” substitute for Christmas parties.

New principal Eujin Jaela Kim has given PS 169 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, a politically correct scrub-down, to the dismay of teachers and parents.

“We definitely can’t say Christmas, nothing with Christmas on it, nothing with Santa,” PTA president Mimi Ferrer said administrators told her. “No angels. We can’t even have a star because it can represent a religious system, like the Star of David.”

Kim, 33, did not return a call or e-mail seeking comment.

I find this offensive to Columbus, all the Spaniards, the pilgrims, the Mayflower Madam and the Native American people that provided the turkeys.

No more Christmas? How about no more paid Christmas vacation for the teachers at that school? Christmas is canceled due to Political Correctness and so is your holiday Principal Kim.

Santa is going to put a lump of coal in her Kimchi pot this year and give her a trip to North Korea so she can visit her people.

For most North Koreans, Christmas has long been a nonevent, in part because the government keeps a tight rein on information about religious holidays from entering the country, and in part because Christians can be arrested for celebrating it. Though the country's constitution does grant freedom of religion to all citizens, North Korean authorities don't seem to pay the idea much heed.

Kim makes 128,000 dollars a year and the school has a budget of $13,373,493. There's your tax dollars at work.
