Real Thanksgiving is covered in another thread. British surrender at Yorktown ended the Revolutionary war. War of 1812 treaty
benefited Canada more than anyone. Lee's surrender to Grant ended the Civil War. Treaty of Gaudelupe-Hildago ended the
Mexican-American War. Spanish/American war was ended by treaty as well. Geronimo was a POW for 25 years without any declared
war.WWI was ended by Armistice.
WWII ended with VE day, and, the Japanese surrender.
In Korea, Contra/ Grenada, Vietnam, and the two Gulf Wars, we mostly declared victory and left.
Filipino scouts and filipinos that joined the US Marines, when McCarthur headed out for Australia, all got to immigrate here
The Hmong and Viet Cong got that benefit as well.
take it slow

Military victories. Yes, for the military-industrial complex. We buy their products, fight and die in their wars, pay obscene taxes for them to spend on whatever they want. This is freedom? Freedom from what? We're a bunch of suckers and always have been.

If we don't put boots on the ground (Obama is so opposed to that), then we'll have to fight our enemies here.

And as the Israeli PM that 0bama just happened to have more important things to do, said, the enemy of my enemy is STILL the enemy.  Muslims say that the enemy of their enemy is their friend.
