Native Americans

10 posts in this topic

This is what I know about the Native Americans compared to Europeans, in terms of the Archaeological Evidence.

1. NO Domesticated animal's fossils were found in the USA's fossil record, before European settlement...

2. NO Stone or wooden building structures, or evidence of such an object existing in the USA before European settlement.

3. NO Evidence of Agriculture existing in the USA before European settlement.

4. To this very day.... NO evidence of making THINGS, like a clock, or a calendar, or written language, or tools or wooden boats and rafts in the USA's fossil record before European Settlement.

That places the Native Americans technologically at the Mesolithic period of the Stone Age... before European settlement.

This begs the question. What is really the definition of intelligence in a given group of humans?

The Native Americans didn't spoil their own nests or pollute nature. I guess you don't know about the Navajos who were master weavers and make some of the most beautiful blankets in the world, who were skilled at dye making and other tribes that were skilled at pottery making. I could go on and on about all the things they made, arrows out of flint, bows, teepees for shelter, utensils for eating and clothing made from animals they killed and ate for food, pipes and jewelry. The Constitution came from the Iriquois tribe. There were the Cahokian mount builders. They didn't need clocks, they used the sunto gauge time. They made canoes and rafts to navigate waters.

The European settlement brought about what we have now, which is racism, air, water and soil pollution, deforestation, overcrowded cities, a population who now might get to retire 5 years after they're dead, crimes of every nature imaginable, a healthcare industry that cures almost nothing and corporate interests that control the world, so many laws that everyone is now a felon. There's no privacy anywhere and people are so ignorant they can't even feed themselves without a grocery store.

Big whoop for progress.

1. They didn't need domesticated livestock since they were a hunter gather culture, and the European settlers hadn't killed most things off yet.

2. Yes there is evidence.

3. There have been instances of farming indigenous crops found. Not many, because they were also a migratory culture.

4. Plenty of evidence for calendars, tools, and boats. Who needs a clock when you have the sun, moon, and stars and know how to read them?

I think you mean Archaic Era (they use different terminology for the Americas)

Anyhow, you have not included the other eras prior to European settlers. Preclassic and Classic Eras. (I don't  include the Postclassic Era since it is painfully obvious that the Nordic peoples were here influencing "Native's" cultures and technologies at a time well before the "European settlers" arrived)

It would have been interesting to see where they would be at today had the Europeans stuck to killing themselves in their small parcel of the world instead of invading the rest. (the results of confined European conflicts would have been interesting to see as well)

All false. There were no humans in the Americas before the native Indian. Not in the 13,500 years in this time era, since the last pole-shift

Native Indians were descended from a single Asiatic source, but not related to any current Asian groups. Native Indians arte more related to each other thasn any one else.

There is no proof that the Bering strait ice bridge ever existed.

Kinneweck man was a polynesian.

There were no Soutreans, not in this time era.:

You and I have discussed this before. We agreed on some but not all.
The Bering Straits were never proven and the Kinneweck man was Polynesian.
The current Northern Native Americans are more closely related to each other than current Asians.

This place (Turtle Island) was inhabited by a race of tall, red haired white people.
Many tribes tell stories of this and the evidence is here.
It's been covered up.

. My tribe does not use the term, 'Turtle Island'. I have heard the tales about giants, but, again, I think those stories refer to times before this time era

Whether these prophecies are true or not, much of what is spoken about – the era of greed and violence – is a reality throughout much of the world today.  Corruption, greed, poverty, consumerism, power to the few, and injustice are predominant characteristics of our civilization accompanied by a great technological advancement that has become a weapon for mass destruction and a tool for supressing resistance.  Whether beings from the past will interfere or not, one thing is for sure, life cannot continue in this way forever.

The Warriors of the Rainbow Prophecy

This is how the ‘Rainbow prophecy’ begins, as retold by a woman of the Cree Indian nation of America over a century ago.

The Cree are one of the largest groups of the First Nations Native Americans in North America. There are over 135 bands of Cree living in Canada, with a total population of approximately 200,000 today.

The Rainbow prophecy, as it has come to be known, refers to the keepers of the legends, rituals, and other myths that will be needed when the time comes to restore the health on Earth.  It is believed that these legendary beings will return on a day of awakening, when all people will unite and create a new world of justice, peace and freedom, and they will benamed the ‘Warriors of the Rainbow’. They will reteach the values and the knowledge that has been lost in time, demonstrating how to have wisdom and extra-perception, and how unity, harmony and love is the only way forward.

The rainbow reference relates to the different colours of the original people:

A particularly interesting part of the prophecy relates to the choosing of leaders.  According to the story, a leader will not be the one that talks the loudest, boasts of successes, or has the support of the elite. Leaders will be those whose actions speak the loudest, the ones that have demonstrated wisdom and courage and have proven that they work for the benefit of all. Isn’t this how things should be?

The Rainbow has always held special significance among the different Native American Indian Nations. It is connected to the Spirit (Supreme God/Creator) in all things. Apart from the Cree prophecy there are many prophecies and stories from the Hopi, the Zuni and the Cherokee related to the rainbow warriors.
