One way politicians deflect charges of wrongdoing is by uttering the words "conspiracy theory." The term suggests a certain level of looniness, conjuring images of paranoid people struggling to find sinister patterns in random events.

Or does it? University of Winchester psychologist Michael Wood decided to test whether the widely disparaged two-word phrase is really as pejorative as most of us assume.

As far as I know conspiracy theory has never met immediate dismissal .  Was Pearl Harbor a false flag attack ?  While I do not agree it was a preplanned false flag attack the evidence is compelling enough for discussion .

But on the other hand their is another conspiracy theory I once heard .  It got quite a bit of a run on another  Fourm.  The theory was that Neo Naiz's controlled by Jews were taking over the Ukrainian government .  (  really )

Now OK,  I can see Nazi's taking over the Ukrainian government as a conspiracy  worthy of discussion .

I can also see Jews taking over the Ukrainian government as a conspiracy  worthy of discussion .

But Jews and Nazi's working together I mean come on .  ?

Our problem arises when people point out the former as a example and not the latter.

To put it in simple country talk .

The crazies make us all look bad.

If you believe it all. Then it's probably a joke to you .  If you judge it on a case-by-case basis and are willing to tolerate a counter argument then you are taking it seriously .
