Looks like the North is gearing up for a conflict. They have been rattling their swords for weeks now and its only a matter of time before something happens. Kimmy is a inbred psycho who wants the worlds attention. He is like a spoiled child having a temper tantrum and throwing his toys around. Unfortunately, he has some very destructive toys.

50 N. Korean submarines away from base

SEOUL, Aug. 23 (Yonhap) -- More than 50 North Korean submarines are apparently away from their bases for operations, a sign that the North is gearing up for combat while participating in high-level talks aimed at easing tension, an official here said Sunday.

"Seventy percent of North Korea's submarines left their bases, and their locations are not confirmed," the South Korean military official told reporters.

The North is known to have around 70 submarines.

The unpredictable communist nation has also doubled the number of its artillery troops on the border, with the command to be combat ready, according to the official.

"It's a very serious situation," the official said, saying it represents Pyongyang's typical "dual attitude."

N.K. beefs up frontline forces

South Korea, U.S. boost anti-submarine activities, raise Watchcon

The Koreas’ cross-border standoff showed more signs of flaring up on Sunday as the North Korean military sharply beefed up its frontline artillery forces and forward-deployed a majority of its submarines and other offensive assets despite the high-level talks over the weekend.

With negotiations between top Seoul and Pyongyang officials stretching into the second day, the number of North Korean gunners spotted in ready position nearly doubled from Friday, according to military authorities here.

The South’s military was also unable to locate about 50 undersea vehicles, or 70 percent of the North’s submarine fleet, which have left their bases.

“This is an extremely grave situation,” a senior official at Seoul’s Defense Ministry told reporters, requesting anonymity citing intelligence.

I think something might actually happen this time. Korea cannot afford to activate its subs like this unless they plan to actually do something...

From Ftowns page -  From my source...  The consensus is that they are gearing up for a provocation against SK. They see that as LIKELY to be an attack against Seoul, given the disposition of forces, the submarines etc rather than the DMZ. They see Seoul as the likely target of any attack against SK.

A lot of talk that they might use special forces to assassinate Park or something like that. It wouldn't be the first time they have infiltrated assassins.

REMINDER : The 50 North Korea submarines remain officially undetected by South Korea & US Navy. The coalition is still trying to detect them.

NORTH KOREA HAS LARGEST SUBMARINE DEPLOYMENT SINCE 1953

North Korea's state news agency, has hit back at China's calls for restraint, saying, "We have exercised our self-restraint for decades. Now no one's talk about self-restraint is helpful to putting the situation under control."

PLA troops head to DPRK border as North-South tensions mount

The People's Liberation Army has sent troops to China's border with North Korea as escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula have pushed North and South to the brink of possible war.

The Hong Kong-based Oriental Daily reported Saturday that internet users have been uploading photos of what appear to be PLA armored vehicles and tanks passing through the streets of Yanji, the seat of the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture in eastern Jilin province. The city, considered a key transport and trade hub between China and the DPRK, is less than 30 kilometers from the 1,400-kilometer border.

The military deployment is believed to reflect how seriously Beijing considers the the current standoff between North and South Korea.
