Cloward-Piven Strategy is Alive and Well!

3 posts in this topic

"The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis."

The Cloward-Piven Plan to Destroy Governments

In 1966, two Columbia University sociologists, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, collaborated on a theory to end poverty in the United States. This theory, today, is referred to as the "Cloward-Piven Strategy." People who are familiar with the likes of Saul Alinsky and William Ayers are familiar with the strategy, as are the full complement of the Progressive Movement.

In a nutshell, the underlying principle of the Cloward-Piven Strategy is to so overload the entitlement system - to add so many to the entitlement rolls, that the country's economic system collapses, unleashing chaos and violence in the streets, thus affecting radical Leftist political change in government. Up until recently this theory has been just that, a theory, and a theory that anarchists and Progressives have salivated over for their want of execution. But today, we are seeing the fruits of the Cloward-Piven Strategy played out to success in Greece and several other financial destitute countries in Europe.

The article below is from 2008!

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

America waits with bated breath while Washington struggles to bring the U.S. economy back from the brink of disaster. But many of those same politicians caused the crisis, and if left to their own devices will do so again.

Despite the mass media news blackout, a series of books, talk radio and the blogosphere have managed to expose Barack Obama's connections to his radical mentors -- Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis and others. David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks.org have also contributed a wealth of information and have noted Obama's radical connections since the beginning.

In their 1966 article, Cloward and Piven charged that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion.  Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them,” Cloward told The New York Times on September 27, 1970.  Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation; poor people would rise in revolt; only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands.

The key to sparking this rebellion would be to expose the inadequacy of the welfare state.  Cloward-Piven’s early promoters cited radical organizer Saul Alinsky as their inspiration.  “Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules,” Alinsky wrote in his 1972 book Rules for Radicals.  When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judaeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short.  The system’s failure to “live up” to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist “rule book” with a socialist one.

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

By James Simpson

"I submit to you they understand the consequences. For many it is simply a practical matter of eliciting votes from a targeted constituency at taxpayer expense; we lose a little, they gain a lot, and the politician keeps his job. But for others, the goal is more malevolent - the failure is deliberate. Don't laugh. This method not only has its proponents, it has a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. It describes their agenda, tactics, and long-term strategy.

The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven."

Also the 5th Column Element is in play as well - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_column

Obama Administration A Fifth Column Destroying American Competitiveness From Within

https://startthinkingright.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/obama-administration-a-fifth-column-destroying-american-competitiveness-from-within/

Obama has a plan to make American business as competitive in the world economy as the proverbial Dodo bird for the sake of “economic justice.”

Obama Tells American Businesses to Drop Dead: Kevin Hassett

June 8 (Bloomberg) — I’ve finally figured out the Obama economic strategy. President Barack Obama and his team have been having so much fun wielding dictatorial power while rescuing “failed” firms, that they have developed a scheme to gain the same power over every business. The plan is to enact policies that are so anticompetitive that every firm needs a bailout.

Once that happens, their new pay czar Kenneth Feinberg can set the wage for everybody and Rahm Emanuel can stack the boards of all of our companies with his political cronies.

I know, it sounds like an exaggeration. But look at it this way. If there were a power ranking of U.S. companies, like the ones compiled by football writers for National Football League teams, Microsoft would surely be first or second to Google. But last week, Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer came to Washington to announce what Microsoft would do if Obama’s multinational tax policy is enacted.

“It makes U.S. jobs more expensive,” Ballmer said, “We’re better off taking lots of people and moving them out of the U.S.” If Microsoft, perhaps our most competitive company, has to abandon the U.S. in order to continue to thrive, who exactly is going to stay?

At issue is Obama’s policy to end the deferral of multinational taxation.

The U.S. now has about the highest combined corporate tax rate, second only to Japan among industrialized countries. That rate is so high that U.S. firms have an enormous disadvantage versus competitors. The average corporate tax rate for the major developed countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2008 was about 27 percent, more than 10 percentage points lower than the U.S. rate.

The  Cloward and Piven  strategy is in full swing!  The more refugees they bring in, the closer they are to "Mission Accomplished!"

Subtle convergence of Obama-engineered crises

<snip>

It is also definitely worth a look at the similarities between this European refugee crisis and the “undocumented minor” onslaught that took place on our border with Mexico in 2014. One major resemblance would be the contrived flavor of the stories the European refugees related to the press and aid workers. These were very reminiscent of the scripted tall tales we heard in the background stories of “refugees” in the 2014 crisis.

I find it very curious indeed that nearly identical methods and circumstances are tending to materialize in high-profile crises around the world, wherein the uncanny character of a given calamity winds up revealing the Obama administration’s treacherous, greasy fingerprints.

So is this Arab Muslim invasion of Europe an unfortunate happenstance, or is it another crisis in the school of the Cloward and Piven strategy of orchestrated crisis (through which political change is forced via the deliberate engineering of widespread instability in social, economic or political realms)? The Marxist-derived treason of Cloward-Piven has indeed been deployed by this administration previously – in precipitating the 2014 border crisis, in what the Justice Department attempted to bring about through “Operation Fast and Furious,” and in the current state of escalating tensions between inner-city blacks and police.

These are, or were, entirely contrived by the White House and entirely calculated to bring about desired (though illicit and profoundly injurious) objectives. Any who would challenge this contention are either denying, or they’re lying.
