OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE WHEN FIRST WE PRACTICE TO DECEIVE.

Yes this country was founded by Christians for Christians using Christian principles. The schools used the Bible. The first colleges used the Bible. We Swore on the Bible in our courts of law. We married in the Church in Holy Matrimony. You can't explain the truth away, but I can explain why we are all here trying to get to the bottom of all the lies and deception and exploring the ct's. We are removing God which is the positive, leaving the negative vacuuming in on itself. Prove my conspiracy theory wrong.

CHRISTIANITY AND AMERICA
Last week, I heard it again: That oft-repeated urban legend that we’ve heard so often. This time, to my horror, I heard it from a well-educated pastor: “Our founding fathers were not Christians. They were deists, atheists, and agnostics.”

Au contraire!

The pilgrims, as you will recall, were, Christians fleeing Europe in order to escape religious persecution, and they literally began their stay in their new land with the words, “In the name of God, Amen.”

The pilgrims were followed to New England by the Puritans, who created bible-based commonwealths. Those commonwealths practiced the same sort of representative government as their church covenants. Those governmental covenants and compacts numbered more than 100, and were the foundation for our Constitution.

New Haven (Connecticut) and Massachusetts were founded by Puritans who wanted to reform the Church of England, who later became known as Congregationalists. Roger Williams founded the colony of Rhode Island based on the principle of freedom of conscience. Pennsylvania was established by William Penn as a Quaker colony. Maryland was a haven for Catholics from Protestant England.

America was indeed founded by bible-believing Christians and based on Christian principles. When they founded this country, the Founding Fathers envisioned a government that would promote and encourage Christianity.

All but two of the first 108 universities founded in America were Christian. This includes the first, Harvard, where the student handbook listed this as Rule #1: “Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children to follow the moral principles of the Ten Commandments."

In 1777. Continental Congress voted to spend $300,000 to purchase bibles which were to be distributed throughout the 13 colonies! And in 1782, the United States Congress declared, “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools."

What's your theory?

Is it that God is being removed from America, hence all the bad stuff we see today?

Is it that God is being removed from the center of CT; thereby, ensuring that we cannot find any real answers?

your post seemed to go either way, a little clarification is needed.

Here is the truth about the Christians who founded the colonies.  The were just as barbaric as the members of ISIS!

The Massachusetts Bay Colony of the New World was a Puritan theocratic state in the early 1650s. Puritan leaders did not have much tolerance for people of other religions, and as a result, the Puritan government often persecuted and banished religious outsiders who tried to enter and live in their Puritan towns....

In all, from 1656 to 1661, at least forty Quakers came to New England to protest Puritan religious domination and persecution. During those five years, the Puritan persecution of Quakers continued, with beatings, fines, whippings, imprisonment, and mutilation. Many were expelled from the colony, only to return again to bear witness to what they believed. One of them, 60-year-old Elizabeth Hooten, returned to Boston at least five times. The Boston jails were full of Quakers, and four known executions of Quakers took place in Massachusetts during those five years....

The citizens and magistrates of Boston began to grow tired of having to punish the Quakers and Leddra was the last Quaker to be executed by the Puritan government. A messenger had gone to England to ask for a missive from the king. King Charles II, a Catholic supporter, wanted to provide a missive for the Catholics of the New World who were also being persecuted. When a Quaker messenger came asking the king to also provide sanctuary for the Quakers, he agreed. The “King’s Missive” did stop the executions, but punishment of the Quakers by the Boston government still continued, though it was less harsh.

The truth is that the colonists didn't come here to escape from persecution, they came here so that they start their own theocracy and persecute others.

The real reason that the colonists hated the King of England is because he wouldn't let them get a way with it.

My theory is without God there is nothing but conspiracy and theories.

Yes removing God from America is exactly why evil is permeating our land. God is the author of morality.

You almost asked that question correctly . Because we have removed God from the center we are left with conspiracies of which we have to come up with theories.

The truth never hides itself, and a lie never stays hidden.

My clarification is since we possess the knowledge of good and evil, we know the difference and are without excuse!

But what is the difference between good and evil.

Let's take lying, for example.

Should you always tell the truth, is lying always evil?

What about lying to save someone's life?

It was not truly Christian, or Christ like, to escape persecution only to then start committing the same sins against their fellow believers which they had fled England to escape.  Thank God that not all the believers who came to the colonies shared in their sins.

amen
