USA - South Korea Sign Nuke Export Deal

4 posts in this topic

Oh this is a great idea. I wonder how long it will take for Kimmy in the North to get his hands on some of the exports.

Nuclear agreement with U.S. to boost Korean exports

The Korea-U.S. civilian nuclear cooperation pact signed Wednesday is expected to smooth Korean companies’ exports of nuclear power generation-related products and technologies, industry insiders said Thursday.

Under the new deal, Seoul can transfer U.S.-originated nuclear equipment, technology and material to a third country without the consent of the U.S., as long as the respective country has a nuclear pact with the U.S. Seoul had been obliged to secure U.S. approval prior to the outbound shipment of all nuclear parts or technology because many are still from the U.S.

Washington has also pledged to speed up its authorization process for nuclear imports and exports, which makes businesspeople hopeful about greater opportunities for Korea’s nuclear export industry.

Sooner or later,  someone,  somewhere,  is going to light one off.  It looks inevitable.  We really need to move away from Nuclear Energy.

And in related news....

China is concerned for the U.S.

The Chinese have told U.S. nuclear specialists that North Korea may have as many as 20 nuclear warheads, and has the domestic capability to reach 40 nuclear warheads by 2016 and 75 by the end of the decade, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

And while an arsenal like that is enough to affect regional stability, it is believed the North Koreans can now mount their nuclear warheads on their homegrown KN-08 ICBMs, with their 5600 mile range, and reach as far as California.

If that wasn’t problematic enough, North Korea managed to build up their nuclear aresenal and ICBMs after the 1994 nuclear agreement between North Korea and the Clinton administration, an agreement which was meant to halt their nuclear development capabilities.

North Korea tested their first nuke in 2006.

North Korea,  Has a psychotic man in charge,  very, very dangerous.  The people in N. Korea are hopelessly brainwashed,  and live in extreme poverty.

Its a hidden and not talked about Disaster.  Horrifying living conditions for the people.
