Stirring the Indian Pot

OMG...While everyone was talking about taking down the Confederate Flag, the King and Queen were beating the war drums under the guise of smoking a peace pipe at the Rainbow House!

Today the White House is hosting more than 875 Native youth representing 230 tribes from 42 states. They will meet with First Lady Michelle Obama, Cabinet officials, the White House Council on Native American Affairs, and non-federal partners to discuss key issues like cultural protection and revitalization, education, health and wellness, and economic opportunity.

In a pre-gathering phone conference, attended by Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell, White House Domestic Policy Council Director Cecilia Muñoz and Lillian Sparks Robinson, Commissioner of the Administration for Native Americans, Muñoz said excitement by the administration was extremely high.

Muñoz explained how the gathering came about after President Barack Obama and the First Lady had visited the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and had heartfelt conversations with Native youth.

“When the President and the First Lady took their historic trip to the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota, they had the opportunity to hear directly from young people, who described the challenges they faced in their lives. The President was deeply moved by what he heard, and he knows the issues he heard about are not isolated to Standing Rock. He was also inspired by the talent and the courage of the Native youth he met to overcome their circumstances,” said Muñoz.

“The youth gathering builds on the President’s Generation Indigenous Initiative, which we call Gen-I, and is focused on finding new avenues of opportunity for Native youth. Gen-I is about creating new policies and investments to expand educational, employment, health and social services for Native youth, and also to strengthen the administration’s engagement with public and private partners to improve outcomes for all youth,” she said.

Michelle Obama on Thursday told hundreds of Native American youths that they are all precious and sacred and that "each of you was put on this earth for a reason."

"Each of you has something that you're destined to do, whether that's raising a beautiful family, whether that's succeeding in a profession or leading your community into a better future," the first lady said in a sometimes emotional address at a first-time summit called by the White House. "You all have a role to play and we need you."

The event was part of Generation Indigenous, or Gen-I, a White House initiative that grew from President Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama's visit last year to the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, which straddles the border between North Dakota and South Dakota. Meetings followed, Cabinet members held listening tours, tribal youth were chosen as ambassadors and a national network was formed.

Oh Oh Oh....I listened to the whole damn thing! At one point she got emotional, but I think that was because in her mind she was singing, One little, two little, three little Indians...and couldn't hold back the tears of laughter.

I got news for our redskin brothers and sisters, the black man speaks with a forked tongue too. They better be careful or the king and queen will tear down their Casino's because they probably represent some sort of injustice or chains.  I know, the casinos have caused the natives to be imprisoned by the American Dollar and they will need to free themselves of it in order to return to their roots.

And that whole Sacred White Buffalo thing that has been passed down from generation to generation, it needs to be changed to a Rainbow Buffalo in order to be politically correct. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Might that be a peace pipe?
Or is that wishful thinking?

Ugh, it's was painful but I made it through the whole repugnant speech.
@ 3:15 she slips in conservation and climate change and it goes down hill from there.
@ 3:40 "America has not always treated you with dignity and respect." We are Americans you fool.
@ 4:20 "That kind of blatant discrimination is thankfully far behind us." Duh, generations ago.
Then she goes on to say  "Ya'll are still seeing the consequences of those actions every single day." What? Really? Someone forgot to tell me and my ancestors and that.
@ 5:25 "Not a single one of them had given up hope." - "They were doing everything they could to lift themselves up" - "And I believe that's your story, your generation."
It's the story of every generation! Native Americans and European Americans and African Americans and Asian Americans and Hispanic Americans all want a better future for their children. Bla bla bla until...
@12:25 "ya'll can make the changes you seek. day by day, vote by vote, eagle feather by eagle feather - have fueled the great movement of our history. From women's rights to civil rights to LBGT rights."
Someone forgot to tell her that the two largest tribes, the Navajo and the Cherokee, have banned gay marriage and refuse to bend to Obama's demands!

Two Largest Native American Tribes In U.S. Ban Gay Marriage

As states across the country pass laws allowing same-sex marriages, the nation’s two largest Native American tribes — as well as a handful of smaller tribes — have laws on the books banning it.
A report by the Associated Press found that the Navajo and the Cherokee have reaffirmed or strengthened their decades-old tribal laws banning gay marriage in recent years. Those two tribes have a collective 600,000 members. The Navajo are clustered in the Southwest, where Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico come together. The Cherokee mostly live in Oklahoma. Another 10 smaller tribes that together have another 350,000 members also now have laws specifically prohibiting gay marriage.
Because they reside on sovereign land, these tribes will still be able to ban same-sex marriage even if the U.S. Supreme Court decides that to do so is unconstitutional when it rules on a landmark same-sex marriage case later this year.

There will be no rainbow buffalo!

Bless you Lucy..you hung in there and listened to the whole darn video. I laughed when I heard the "eagle feather by eagle feather" part too. I guess she forgot that the Eagle is on a protected list.

Is it just me or did that video make you want to vomit too?

Also, she left out the part where it was those damn Europeans in the boats that started this whole mess for y'all Indians. Next thing we know anything that represents explorers or vikings will need to be banned and destroyed because it's offensive to Native Americans. Where does this stop? I wonder who offended the dinosaurs because that will probably come next.

The good news is...NO RAINBOW BUFFALO!

Looking at her always makes me a little nauseous but that speech made me particularly pukey.

She already met with black kids and Hispanic kids to remind them of how oppressed they are.
Now she's gone after Natives but I can't anything on how oppressed Asians are in America.
I guess they're not dark enough to be called "children of color" and therefore don't count.

Have they openly admitted Viking were here yet? I don't think so because they got along well with the Natives and even interbred.
Can't have people believing that some cultures naturally get along while others don't. That's obviously the fault of the whiteman of course.
All "people of color" are wonderful and peaceful and oppressed because of it. She would know, she's the first lady after all.

Obama already apologized to Japan for the atomic bomb.

Obama Apologizes to Japan for the Atomic Bomb!

Today,  an article reveals that prior to that submissive posture that Obama took for the USA,   Obama’s State Department under the direction of Hillary Clinton, sent the Japanese  a letter saying that Obama wanted to apologize in person for the USA’s  World War II actions when we dropped an atom bomb on Japan!   Yes,  Obama wanted to present his apology from the USA in person.   Japanese officials said NO.  No doubt they were astounded at this overture so they politely declined, stating fear of exploitation by other anti-nuclear groups if they did so.

The Germans better not hold their breath though. It appears only "people of color" deserve the Obama's attentions.
