German Blogger Creates Pikachu-Hunting Gun for Pokemon Go

Quote

German blogger Joerg Sprave designed a gun to hunt Pokémon in the game Pokemon Go. The video in which Sprave demonstrates his invention was released on YouTube.

"We can do better than throwing balls at monsters. Let's build a proper launcher," the blogger said in the video.

In the upper part of the gun you can install the smartphone to use its camera (which is in line with the barrel of the gun) to shoot the target more precisely. The video shows how the gun is working on the example of Pikachu — a live "target" dressed in the costume of Pokémon.

The gun has fourteen ‘Pokémonballs' which are being used as a kind of bullet. The balls create an "explosion" when they hit a Pokémon.

Gunman gets shot in Las Vegas by Pokemon GO player he tried to rob

Shortly after 4 a.m., a group of six people were at a public park east of downtown playing the popular smartphone game, which sends players to physical locations to "catch" virtual Pokemon characters.

Police said an armed man and the young driver drove up to the group in an SUV and demanded their possessions at gunpoint. One of the Pokemon players who has a concealed weapons permit drew his own gun and the two sides exchanged fire.

One person in the Pokemon group was shot once in the stomach and taken to the hospital.
-----
The man believed to be the suspect also was treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound.

I spoke to a friend tonight that said, Pokemon Go is now banned at all US military bases. Its about time the USA gets with the program....

Nintendo’s viral mobile hit game Pokemon Go has been deemed a security risk by the IDF and banned on all Israeli military bases.

The IDF’s Security Division this week determined that because Pokemon Go activates a mobile phone’s camera and location sensors (GPS) it could be exploited by hostile elements to locate Israeli military installations.
