There were rumors of an armed coup, but that has since been retracted.  Watching this with interest! It's on and off with the reports. Waiting to see what else shakes out of this.  Maybe it's just a small group that wants prisoner's freed or it could be the makings of a larger uprising. Reports are totally conflicting.  Social media is down according to reports.

Armed group seizes police HQ in Armenian capital Yerevan, 1 dead

The local police chief, Valery Osipyan, was held hostage according to local news sources. Security troops were dispatched to the headquarter, and the head of the country's security, Vladimir Gasparyan, was also present at the scene.

The Armenian National Security service said that no coup attempt was underway in Yerevan, and said that they are negotiating for a peaceful surrender of the attackers.

To the east of Armenia is Azerbaijan, a close alley of Turkey.

Turkey is looking to expand for sure, Erdogan wants to reinstate the Ottoman Empire. He has already made claims about Northern Syria (Aleppo area), the people living there are Turkmen -- at least according to Erdogan.

Here is a map of the Ottoman Empire 1580, you should be aware what's in store for us:
