Monsanto, America's Monster

Published on Jun 14, 2016

Few corporations in the world are as loathed—and as sinister—as Monsanto. But the threat it poses to people and planet could be reaching new heights, as the World Health Organization has recently upgraded Monsanto's main product as carcinogenic to humans.

With protests against the agrochemical giant held in over 40 countries in May, learn why the global movement against Monsanto is of critical importance to our future.

In this episode of The Empire Files, Abby Martin issues a scathing expose on the corporate polluter, chronicling it's rise to power, the collusion of its crimes by the US government, and highlighting the serious danger it puts us in today.

@CSB  Brother you need to fix that heading... You are giving these miscreants too little "respect" - They are not just America's monster - they are indeed the monster of the entire world.  Their tentacles reach into every nook and cranny of every country, the bastards! Their money and bribes have corrupted politicians and lawmakers for decades and the rot perpetuates.

Here we still have the odd farmer who persists in using "normal" organic methods and seeds.  I was speaking to a farmer the other day and he reckons that the warthogs walk through a thousand acres of GMO grain on the farm adjacent to his, not eating a single thing, just to come and graze in his organic maize!  Now, a warthog is a very clever animal if you ask me!
